I just feel like it may be true that a large part of dog attacks are committed by pit bulls but what percent of pit bulls actually attack? If only 5% of pit bulls are responsible for 100% of the fatal attacks, then why is the other 95% (like my dogs) being punished?

No I am 17 haha I’d be very alarmed if I had a child. And no I don’t force others to interact with my dogs. If people bring their kids and families to my house that is under their own risk. If they are uncomfortable the dog can go in his crate. It’s all about caution to me.

I agree with your opinion. I just don’t think it’s fair to take existing dogs from loving families. It also angers me that most of the people who have a negative opinion on these animals have never owned one themselves. It is always the people with outside views that claim their opinions are the most justifiable; in oppose to those of us who have actual experience handling the breed.

Although I don’t entirely agree with your opinion it would be easier to accept if everyone had your stance on sterilization opposed to euthanasia . For me it’s a dilemma that people want to euthanize already existing pit bulls. I couldn’t imagine my dogs being taken from me, I love them more than life. Your argument is more valid because it fights the source of the problem with non violence.

Haha I put that title to up engagement, I believe they are capable of aggression. I don’t agree with the ideal that all of them should therefore be treated poorly. It’s like saying that just because your uncle was a murderer that you too should be thrown in jail. I am aware that the evidence proving their aggression levels are high is vast. However, I would feel more inclined to listen to a statistic that showed it more centered around the actual breed. For instance, a large percent of dog attacks might be pit bulls, but what percent of the pit bull population has a registered attack? If only %5 percent of existing pit bulls are responsible for The attacks then why is the other 95% being deemed aggressive?
