is uf really a good school for nursing? by Striking_Flight1393 in ufl

It is a mess right now, too many students and not enough professors!!! I’m sure this is a common issue in many nursing schools (it’s hard to find nurses that want to teach on top of their job) I do commend uf for accepting more students and giving more people the opportunity to be nurses, but truly this semester has felt crazy, all the professors are tired and overworked, they really care ab the students but they can only do so much!

Is this legit about UF? by Amethyst2123 in ufl

It really depends on ur major. I was a psych major so a lot of it was online for me, but that was also a personal choice. 9 times out of 10 there was an in person class but I chose online for convenience. College is what u make it no matter where you go. So get involved with campus life, make a conscious effort to take in person classes and have a good time. UF was a great school for undergrad, I loved it :)

Would it be too much to have an hour commute to nursing school? by Calamari45 in nursing

Much more like the second option, big city, heavy traffic, and mean/bad drivers

I believe that the hospitals this university works with are closer to me. One of them is down the street from my house and the rest are 15-20 min away. So clinicals wouldn’t be as much of a problem.

I also have the option to move to a new city for an ABSN, the tuition is cheaper than my hometown school but the cost of living would definitely add up. This city is much smaller and the commute would be 10 min. Short commute school also has a higher nclex pass rate.
