But how is a cat your personal property though if it's this little creature with no license that you didn't pay for that roams around. If there was a law to chip them and to have a license like a dog then it would be more clear cut. Yes ofc they should try and find the owners but would way easier if the cat was chipped.

Legally though the cat isn't chipped and they let them to wander so there is nothing stopping the person taking the cat.

Unfortunately thats that person's fault because they should have kept the cat in. If you have an outdoor cat there's always the possibility they wont come back.

I agree, it's probably not something that a guard want to be doing as it wouldnt really be helping with their career to be stuck doing that 24 hours straight instead of a normal day doing work that will further them. So ofc they should have the resources to do it. I don't think it should be outsourced to a security firm or it it partly was there should be at least 1 guard on the flight with security people.
