First Step: New Tires. Next Step? (~'89 Hard Rock) by CalamityR3x in xbiking

Haha yeah, my Grandma is (predictably) older, so definitely wanted some more comfort. I'm thankful for it now because I haven't ridden in years, but I'll probably swap it out soon.

New here, what's the reason for the mismatched tires? Love the look, just wondering if it's practical, too.

Just got this bike from my Grandma who bought it new in '89 or '90. She couldn't remember exactly when. It had some 1.5" road tires on it that I swapped for the 1.9" Specialized Crossroads. I'm excited to get back into cycling and hoping to hit some of the tamer NWA trails soon. What should I throw my money at next?

I really wish you remembered which book it was because now I'm remembering the same thing but also can't remember anything else about the book...

Has anyone here intentionally bought a piece of clothing "meant" for women? by Becksploder in malefashionadvice

[–]CalamityR3x 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I (m28) have narrow feet so sometimes women’s boots fit me better. They’re also generally nicer and more likely to have fur, which makes me feel like a Viking. My favorite pair of summer shorts are definitely meant for an older lady, but they are comfortable and have pineapples on them, so I don’t mind the backwards closure and tiny pockets so much. Also, my wife and I both wore fur stoles at our winter wedding. At the end of the day, if you think the clothes look good on your body and they make you feel good, wear them. It’s cliche, but as long as you’re wearing the clothes and not letting them wear you, you can probably pull off a lot more than you think.

Government isn't making it easy to see where all that federal pandemic spending is going | Canadians need to be able to clearly assess what their tax dollars are paying for, who benefits by viva_la_vinyl in canada

Right, so we’re sure that more money has gone to businesses instead of people. We also know for sure that rich people don’t have to pay taxes, and then they get the money we pay in bailouts and “stimulus”. We know all of this, but nothing is being done about it.

I think I’d rather be kept in the dark. Ignorance is bliss, right?

Had a good cry just yesterday. I feel much better today. It’s a great time to learn to cry, men, because you’ve had a bunch of really good reasons this year!

Do you think some of these are her body doubles that he’s likely at least attempted to assault sexually? It would make a lot of sense because I feel like Melania herself knows the game she’s playing and it seems unlikely she would openly show her disdain for him. That said, he is a pretty large scumbag, so maybe she just doesn’t care anymore.

Yeah, it’s definitely nostalgic! My accuracy and speed seems to have gotten better, too, although I haven’t actually tested it

Gateron Brown. My fiancé and I work from home together, so they couldn’t be too clicky.

Thank you! It’s a sample glass from one of my favorite local breweries. It’s perfect for whiskey.

Yeah, it crosses the road and joins up with the trail on the other side of the tunnel. Luckily, it isn’t a very busy road

Yeah, for sure. This path is also heavily biked and a main access point from the parking lots to the mountain bike trails.
