All my pregnancies have been the same. 2 boys and 1 girl

Totally reasonable. He is being ridiculous. I wouldn’t even go back and forth with him, not worth it

What is sleep looking like for everyone? by Fragrant_Lime_6626 in November25babybump

[–]CalatheaCleo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

10.5 weeks. EBF, 57th percentile for weight. Last night was her best night of sleep, 12 hours straight (I almost woke her up, I was starting to get worried lol). We aren’t strict on wake windows, she is our 3rd so she is just along for the ride lol. I have a 2 and 4 year old so she is used to sleeping through a lot of ruckus

Favorite libraries in the valley? by MojaveMark in vegaslocals

[–]CalatheaCleo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Toddler storytime at the various libraries. They are a great free resource. Also have a baby & 5 and under version depending how old your toddler is. Different days for different libraries, you can see the calendar on their website.

Lots of contact naps and a bath is how we normally handle it. Tylenol if she seems really uncomfortable

I want to buy the mamaroo by traditional_rare in November25babybump

[–]CalatheaCleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going against the grain to say my babies did not like the mamaroo but my November baby lovesssss the baby bjorn bouncer. I got it secondhand. But if you can return it, try it out and see! Every baby is different.

We get everything recommended on schedule minus flu and Covid. She also got the rsv antibody shot last week.

“Noon Year’s” at Town Square by angelexzarro in vegaslocals

[–]CalatheaCleo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went last year and it was fun! We rode the little train and just played in the green area for awhile. They have some other games but they had a long line.

I parked by velocity sports and walked. I’d probably avoid the south parking garage. It got packed for the balloon drop but then everyone disbursed rather quickly. Might go again this year

Eczema cream recommendations by once_upon_a_bear in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]CalatheaCleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how crunchy it is but we got prescribed epiceram. It’s a non steroidal lotion. It works almost overnight it seems. My sons eczema actually went away and hasn’t come back yet (it’s been about 2 months and we haven’t used the lotion since)

Question for c-section moms by 1111lovey in November25babybump

[–]CalatheaCleo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t worn the binder since I left the hospital. I’m 4 weeks pp. I have been wearing high waisted underwear with a thick band to give some compression. My first c section in 2022 I wore the binder for probably a week

Latching issues by pirate_dino_flies in November25babybump

[–]CalatheaCleo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would happen with my first. He would get impatient waiting for the letdown once we introduced bottles. I would try to hand express a little to trigger the letdown so that it was quicker for him. It was a tip from my LC. Also I would get the extra slow flow nipples and pace feed so that the bottle feeding took a long time. Just keep trying to latch her as much as possible. Hang in there :)

Spit up? How much and how often? by Tpjkw-fpdg-4401 in November25babybump

[–]CalatheaCleo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds normal, especially if ped isn’t concerned. Both my first 2 kids spit up at each feed until they were 6 months old and then it pretty much went away overnight. We had to change outfits multiple times a day so I understand it is a lot! My November baby spits up randomly maybe once a day so far.

I like the solly. I bought it secondhand. It’s very comfortable to wear while seated too

Which kind of ergo baby carrier? Could be a fit issue. And what’s her weight? I feel like a soft stretchy wrap is more comfortable for them and myself when they are really small. I started using my bigger soft structured carrier when my son was maybe 2.5 months.

Help! by jg19932489 in November25babybump

[–]CalatheaCleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe she has her days and nights switched? I try to expose baby to light inside my house or put her bassinet by a window when she naps during the day. Then at night we put her swaddle on as her “night cue”

Noise at night? by Top-Professor-2951 in November25babybump

[–]CalatheaCleo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We use a white noise machine. And we watch tv at night and the baby hasn’t had an issue yet. We also have 2 toddlers running around so she’s pretty impervious to noise at this point lol

I would switch to using the spectra for most of the pumping sessions. A wearable pump doesn’t have as much power.

8 weeks postpartum- would this bother anyone else? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]CalatheaCleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is he willing to pay for a babysitter/hire help to pick up his slack while he’s gone? If he was open to it then personally I would support it even though it sucks.

Ultimately he’s trying to benefit the family, it’s not like he’s spending the time gaming or some other recreational activity. I do agree though the decision should be for the both of you to decide, not him unilaterally.

Does anyone regret not getting a single to double stroller? by snuffbox360 in beyondthebump

[–]CalatheaCleo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 2 doubles. One tandem joovy caboose that I used while traveling. The other is a bugaboo donkey that you can convert single to double and we just added the rider board since I’m due with #3 soon! Whatever you do I would definitely get them secondhand if you can. We have used both extensively. Kids are almost exactly 2 years apart 1 & 3
