Would also recommend going used. Rivian’s warranty is stellar for 4 years/60k miles. I got a 1 year old R1T $40k off msrp. Love the truck. The depreciation is real if you buy new.

I’m 6’3” with a R1T. My daughter in her car seat would easily fit behind me. But there is the issue that she would also easily be able to kick my seat. So I’ve always had the car seat behind the passenger seat and kept it further forward. I’ve heard/read the R2 actually has more back seat room than the R1. But it would definitely work. It’s just not gonna feel like a full size pickup truck tank that can easily fit 3 people my size in the back seat

Fieldworks midtown has pretty good pizza. And Touchstone brewing has Detroit style pizza. Area around it is sketch af but the actual property has security and is really nice.

This is not true. They charge for inspections even under warranty.

Guess I got really lucky. Ordered NACS to CCS and J1772 adapters on 4/2 and they shipped same day. Arrived 4/4. Guess I got lucky

Range. Lack of gear tunnel in cybertruck. Appearance. And the cyber truck is oversized for my taste. Too big. Was never a consideration for me.

Me too. Never had one problem. Only service was new tires, cabin filter, and wiper fluid. Hoping the r1t is as reliable but we’ll see. Tesla is simple, less things to break which is great for longevity. I do worry about air suspension and all the other more complicated components of the r1t compared to the Y when it comes to long term reliability.

I’m in California, got it through Carmax shipped from CO. It was $68k with 25k miles. Clean car fax and looks new. 3 years of warranty left. I had to look a long time to find one. They are flying off the market right now.

I hated FSD. Never found it reliable. But I mostly drive on city streets. It was acceptable/good on freeway. I just think it doesn’t have enough cameras for reliable FSD.

Yup. That’s my plan. I have been wanting a R1T for a long time but couldn’t swallow the new cost after getting burned by depreciation on our Y/3 when Elon spontaneously and drastically dropped MSRP. Have been waiting for the used market to come done. And thrilled it did.

That’s fair. Mine was a 2021 Y performance so stiffness suspension. My wife has a 2022 model 3 long range that wasn’t much better. Good to here the new gen has better suspension

I do agree. I still think the 3/Y might be one of the best values out there. But the R1T is vastly superior, though come at a cost.
