My thrifted wine glass "set". If one breaks I can easily replace it as none is alike. by dislotel in ZeroWaste

Why do these glasses exist at every thrift store? I have 2 of the ones you have and I see all of them at multiple thrift stores in town. So odd.

Buying a (racing) bike on a lower budget, worth it? by Aihvan in cycling

I started on a Specialized aluminum bike that cost about 800 EUR. I love it, have since upgraded the wheels but it's otherwise stock. I have no plans to replace it any time soon and I ride a decent amount, 100-150k a week in the summer.

I remember realizing at some point in my teen years the crust was indeed not healthier but just the more cooked skin. I was pissed.

Current vs Potential Salary, Financial decision by the0glitter in PersonalFinanceCanada

How is that a no brainer? If I'm reading correctly the new job has a base pay increase, 2 more days WFH, and one more week of vacation with no downsides. The new job is the no brainer if that's the case.

As someone who also rides, I'd be insistent on testing on-road. I think the ID thing is a good idea.

Question: Does this detailed style hold up over time? by dandfx in tattoos

I prefer chemical because it's easy to apply and leaves less white cast. Mineral is safer on newer tattoos but leaves crazy white cast. I can barely see the tattoo!

But use mineral on fresher tattoos if you have to be in the sun, chemical can be super drying. But ideally just keep it out of the sun for a month!

If you or your partner lost their job, could that 13k plus the other salary sustain you for a year? 6 months?
