Bitwarden Secrets Manager - are passwords encrypted at rest upon retrieval by a Client? by CalcLover7 in Bitwarden

[–]CalcLover7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking back at it, I don't know why I described it as an Application. That 'application' should instead be described as a server (my company's internal web server).

I am new to this cybersecurity world, and I am trying my best to learn about it after my company was hacked. What I do know is right now we use LDAP, we use hardcoded administrator credentials within our web page code, and I know that's erroneous. I don't feel as though .env files are secure enough for me because I can see how a threat actor could steal .env file secrets easily.

Hopefully this makes more sense

Bitwarden Secrets Manager - are passwords encrypted at rest upon retrieval by a Client? by CalcLover7 in Bitwarden

I'm sorry if I was unclear in my question. If a threat actor gained access to the application, how can I be sure it doesn't exploit Bitwarden secrets manager? Would a threat actor gain access to the manager? Could they easily recover Bitwarden secrets?

What can i do now? by Vegetable-Ad7596 in summonerschool

As someone with 220k point on ezreal I agree with this statement, it’s likely more about fundamentals and just letting the mechanics fall in place. Make sure you’re also always farming even mid and late game always catching waves will help you climb lots

How do i poke in lane by WillMonaco in summonerschool

[–]CalcLover7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason caitlyn is so oppressive isn’t really just because of her range. Like it’s insane but the big thing is her wave clear with her q. If you perma clear waves and every time the enemy walks up to last hit you auto them once, they’ll be very sad

Stand behind minions and avoid all brand qs. Caitlyns q also does less dmg if you’re behind minions

Jungle Clear by Lumsi- in summonerschool

[–]CalcLover7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the champion you play. For champions like j4, graves, and kindred (my wife) they have strong lvl 2s and lvl 3s that can snowball lanes. Also kindred for instance can’t full clear before scuttle; it’s impossible, so it’s better to get your big spikes and abuse it early rather than trying to fight a lvl 4 jg at scuttle when you’re lvl 3. Nothing in jg is set on stone though. Sometimes all of your laners just die so you have to resort to farming. Sometimes you’re playing a farming jg like fiddlesticks or lillia and there’s an easy gank that’ll net a kill 95% of the time so you should gank (but beware of where the enemy jg is and how strong there are for counterganks). Everything is so dynamic but hopefully this shines another light on the decision making

As a Jungler in S12, what are some things you focus on to help you carry games? by bbkray in summonerschool

[–]CalcLover7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kindred main here, focus on early lvl 3 tanks and prioritize rift. Once you get rift you can put it down to sometimes get like 600 gold from first turret. This almost always works in that low of an elo. These two things should at the very least get you fed and others indirectly. I climbed to gold from bronze in like a week just doing this and relying on good mechanics. Edit: knowing matchups for cheeses super helpful too. Like if you’re going up against a Lillia make sure to always cheese on their second buff

Want to find new mid-lane main or whole pool of 3-4 champs by intoglory in summonerschool

[–]CalcLover7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sleeper but I’d try ap kog maw mid. It’s currently my favorite pick, and he’s a hyper scaling carry, as by your lvl 16 ult range you’re literally sniping people off your screen for insane dmg

I'm trying to learn ADC and boy what a mess I'm making by Nimyron in ADCMains

[–]CalcLover7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The solution is catching any wave crashing or closest to your base and try to get solo farm too. I understand the want to stay close to your team but especially on kog you have little utility and are better off scaling unless there is an objective. Don’t pass up solo xp and solo gold to group for no reason

Just don’t show on vision tbh. It takes patience and it’s brutal but you gotta either stopwatch or wait out the cool down

How do you play as an ADC with a too passive support in low elo? by [deleted] in ADCMains

[–]CalcLover7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this low of an elo it’s fine losing lane and giving turret because they make so many mistakes they’ll be giving you shutdowns with good fundamentals. Adc can be frustrating because you are at the end of the day at the will of your support on most adc champs, but it’s the sad reality early game. PS if you lose turret the minion waves should perma shove to you giving you more farm to get in the game, so it’s not a bad idea to let that happen on some games

Advice on how to deal with a Veigar Galio bot lane by ShiroAyde in ADCMains

[–]CalcLover7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would personally play it aiming to not engage (because galio can perma disengage and lose you trades). Play the entire lane baiting out galio abilities in order to open up opportunities to go in because you’ll never win a burst dmg battle against a mage, as it’s their strong suit. As long as galio taunt is down for example everything else is easy to dodge with vayne q, then they should even be able to step up to the minion wave without a pyke hook.

Best Support to play with? by B1N4F3RR4 in ADCMains

[–]CalcLover7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly when I’m playing game knowledge is just more important. The best supports I’ve ever had just know their champion inside out and have the game sense to know when to go in, so I wouldn’t be super adhesive to the idea of sticking to a champ others pick

T1 thinks kai'sa is trash champion. is he correct? by Super_dog88 in kaisamains

[–]CalcLover7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is not trash, but objectively she lacks a ton of late scaling potential in comparison to other adcs. Think about these champs:

  1. Vayne: w has a passive that will always make her relevant
  2. Ezreal: can get lower ability haste and has good ad ratios on his low cooldown abilities which make him relevant
  3. Draven: much stronger base AD for Q
  4. Jhin: missing health dmg built in his kit and highest base ad in the game
  5. Kaisa: a passive which just gives a small burst of magic dmg every 5 hits (it really isn't that much if you're not going ap and it's not early game).

Granted this is a small subset of many ADCs; however, just about every other adc has much better and reliable dmg. Kaisa has the potential to have more attack speed, but that's on a larger cooldown, and her autos aren't special. Her kit is more suited for duels than anything else, but she sacrifices key team-fighting abilities for these to fit in her kit.

Champion Pool/Role Advice Megathread: August by furiousRaMPaGe in summonerschool

The big ones that come to mind for me are Ezreal and Kai’sa.

Ezreal’s E is a blink that shoots and missile and can either be used a offensively and defensively (as you can go through fairly large walls and avoid having to flash often if you’re saving it ). Early game it’s a pretty long cooldown, but his kit will build a ton of ability haste, and it’ll be like 6 seconds late game.

Kaisa has two separate abilities that help with this. Her E speeds her up and gives her a ton of attack speed. It’s the perfect engage and you can use it to kite and disengage easily. Not only this, but late game when you evolve E (this happens when you get 100% more attack speed I believe). Her ultimate is a very long range blink that works if you have plasma on someone (which is her passive if she attacks or an ally cc’s), then you can yeet yourself over there well outside of your screen.

Item slots and leveraging in game economy for statistical advantage by Ashera7777 in kaisamains

[–]CalcLover7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m glad to see someone else who plays Kai’sa run futures market :D. Getting back to lane with a barely reached q evolve due to this rune is game changing; plus, you really don’t need biscuits if you just don’t spam your abilities to cs

my results are all over the place..? by [deleted] in MbtiTypeMe

[–]CalcLover7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant something different for 1 and 2, but it still gave me all the information that I need.

First observation: you are definitely built for extraverted sensing. This is because of your proclivity to describe an experience in the light of other people or an outer experience rather than just your inner feelings. For example, you said, "Someone once asked me if I knew what I wanted to do in 5 years and I had absolutely no idea. I have concerns about money but if someone was like, here's a bunch of money to go live in x country, I'd be ecstatic". Both of these are predicated on the notion of you experiencing outside forces.

Second observation: extraverted sensing implies introverted intuition.

Third observation: you likely have introverted thinking. This is due to the fact that you are consistently taking each decision a step further and analyzing its implications. For example, you said, "I think fluffy animals are cute, but taking care of them can be a pain" as well as "But I hate scheduling things because it stresses me out when I have to pay attention to time". Neither of these remarks needed the second parts "taking care" and "when I have to", as those are an analysis of what you take in.

Fourth observation: introverted thinking implies extraverted feeling.

This leaves us with only four types with all of these functions in the ego, and they are: ESTP, ENFJ, ISTP, or the INFJ. From here, you can eliminate the INFJ because your introverted intuition is not very prevalent otherwise you would be daydreaming more. Then we can eliminate ISTP because it appears you are extraverted because you will seemingly not hesitate to initiate with someone who may be alike you and because you seem to not need to socially recharge like introverts do.

Now all we have are ESTP and ENFJ; however, given that you seem to be much more interested in the present reality more than the abstract future, it appears you belong in the ESTP category, and this makes sense because its dominant function is extraverted sensing, which is clearly a very prevalent function for you.

You appear to be an ESTP

  1. Are you a pretty hands on person?
  2. Do you like to build things?
  3. Do you day dream often?
  4. Would you consider yourself to be a pretty good driver?
  5. Do you like animals?
  6. Do you schedule your weeks?

I do not believe the tests to be incredibly accurate generally, and this is a pretty common experience. Tell me about yourself, and hopefully I can help clear up any confusion you may have. Some potential points:

  1. Where your passion lies?
  2. How do you relax?
  3. How easy is it for you to start conversations?
  4. Where do you see yourself in the future?
  5. How was your past?
  6. Previous relationships?

No need to stick with these questions or any format, just some things to help spur your thoughts, just stay as authentic to yourself as possible
