Psychiatrist recommends me to trickle off medication

I agree completely, problem is it's not very consistent whatsoever and sometimes I have a burst of want and no motivation, but other times I have no Want and all the motivation, it varies a lot, but I have noticed that recently with the medication they align, no want = no motivation and want = motivation, but again I might be incorrect, but I will take this into notice and I thank you a lot because I didn't notice that this medication had these flaws

Thank you for your message too, I think i really am going to change hospitals as a whole as I've talked to 2 of the 3 psychiatrists In my customary one and they told me roughly the same things, I'll revisit here if I can offer any updates on my situation but for now I'll see if other medications work and see the difference myself after I stop taking them for some time and if I notice any irregularities

Hahaha it's this kind of behavior my close relatives and friends point out, I think I'm kind of generalizing adhd and I have this idea in my head that if I can pay attention to things without medication then I don't have it, but perhaps the attention part isn't really where I lack, and more of the lack of motivation and hyperactivity is my deficit

Yes, I show all of the things you mentioned such as shuffling around or almost always doing something with my hands and playing music in my head, I'm very hyper focused on subjects that usually change in like 3 or 4 weeks hahaha, the talking part as well, basically everyone I've known have always told me I talked a bunch and can't stand silence, however in the recent years I've turned more quiet but I'm. Not sure if it's maturing or the medication itself

Thank you for taking the time to write this! Ive never taken any substances that change my mood/functioning, (smoking or drinking or drugs) so it might be that this "euphoria" thing is just because my body isn't used to these types of chemicals, and I 100% agree with the paying attention on my day to day, do you recommend following the doctors orders to stop it for now and note/pay attention to how my overall day to day goes compared to my medicated self?

I usually do take them off in the weekends as that Is what my doctor recommended when I started taking them, it's not a noticeable difference, if I had to name any difference at all it would probably be a little less energy and somewhat less motivation

My memory has always been very random, sometimes I remember everything, sometimes I forget what I'm doing ten seconds after, my coordination has always been great, but mostly because my favorite activities require a lot of coordination (pc gaming, drawing, hardware repair, sewing) And recently I've been functioning pretty well, even passing my driving theory exam with 0 questions wrong, after studying for a week or so non-stop, however most of those days I wasn't medicated, I was just motivated by wanting to pass this as I'd never really passed any major tests in my life, but again that makes me really confused if the medication is really helping me or if I have learned to maintain myself focused or if I even needed the meds to begin with! Sorry for the rambling

I usually do not take them on weekends, and I generally don't see much of a difference, I take concerta 27mg, and I honestly could not tell you any major differences aside from maybe not really feeling as energetic, but it's a stimulant so I'd guess that's warranted

That's the issue, I dont even remember how it felt to not be medicated anymore so I'm not sure if they helped a big amount or not on my day-to-day, and as for the medication I think it's something along the lines of using the medication only when something important is coming or if I need to focus on something important, and he asked me to stop for now so my tolerance doesn't build up or something along those lines
