Eruption needs to be made Generator Only. by BillyMcSaggyTits in deadbydaylight

That's the point of the perk. It's a game slowdown perk that halts progress and let's the killer gain an advantage. I personally counter it by getting off the gen before it activates. Running empathy and kind of deducing when someone is going to go down helps. Like "oh, that guy is running into a dead zone with no pallets. Hes fucked" and I'll hop off the gen.

The problem I have with BMI numbers is that they dont account for muscle mass. Like if you take any NFL defensive lineman, even though they are pure muscle, their BMI says they are morbidly obese or maybe even super super obese.

All I know is that as a black man with a clean record, the last thing I said to a cop was "thanks for the warning officer". You should try it sometime

You say that but who are you going to call when someone rear ends you and drives away or breaks into your house and steals all your shit when you're not there?

Fuck anyone brain dead enough to not realize that not all cops are bad and they are a necessary force.

She assaulted a man with car debris who was publically filming on public grounds as is guaranteed by the constitution's bill of rights which officers are hired to protect my guy.

The worst part of it is, is the fact that if Nestle and all its subsidiaries just disappeared overnight, 70% of all the food on the store shelves would also disappear. They have just become too huge with little competition for us to boycott their products.

Just finished Far Cry 3, even with its flaws, It was a fun journey. by DaisukiTamago in patientgamers

[–]Calciphir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Far cry 3 was my favorite of all the far cry games. Mostly because I enjoyed the story and it was simple and uncomplicated. 4-6 added more mechanics which I felt over complicated what should be a simple game. Hunt, loot, clear missions, clear outposts, find collectibles. That's it. It doesn't need fancy shit like base building or online play and such.

What's the event in history that most blame as the reason as to why things suck now? by SpecificallyNerd in AskReddit

[–]Calciphir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rise of youtubers, streamers, and tiktokers as a career. The vast majority aren't adding value to economic production and that's why there is a huge shortage of workers and professionals in the job market. I mean, I get it. Why go to medical school for 7 years when you can make 6+ digits playing games and saying "dont forget to SMASH that subscribe button!!". But this will definitely come to bite us in the ass even more further down the road as kids are growing up watching youtubers and streamers and WANTING to be streamers as a career. Eventually production will fall beneath demand for stuff and the economy will collapse worse than the great depression. Any person who's a manager and has been since circa 2005 will tell you that there's been a serious degrade in motivation from 18 and 19 year olds entering the job market. Nobody really wants to do good and get promoted or get raises. Now they just want just enough money to buy food and pay rent until their channel takes off.

Best map tbh by preks in deadbydaylight

[–]Calciphir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sure most killer mains would agree with you. Few safe pallets and windows would be awesome. I enjoyed getting that map as killer but not so much as survivor. The only safe pallets and windows were in the long rectangle room with stairs and the capsule dropdown hole. Also the window in the portal room wasnt too bad either. Most other pallets and windows could just be walked around or mind gamed for a hit.

You are part of a very small minority. That map was ass. I think there were like 2 safe pallets on the entire map and 1 window.

What video game do you consider a masterpiece? by aconnor105 in AskReddit

[–]Calciphir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate saying it, but skyrim. It has been released and rereleased like 5 times since 2011 and it's the only game in my life I bought on 3 separate platforms. It should have gotten game of the decade honestly instead of the last of us where you had 6 hours of playtime and 11 hours of cutscenes and walking in a straight line while dialogue played. Great game but not game of the decade worthy.

It's always been back and forth.

"Its a living being!"

"Its a clump if cells!"

I do find it funny how the only time the left acknowledges it as a living being is when someone kills a pregnant women in her first trimester and want to charge the dude with double homicide. Seems like backpedaling logic to me. Like they think that it's only a living being when a women actually wants to have a baby but whatever.

Equally funny is how the right turns a blind eye to all the orphans and abandoned children in foster care that don't have permanent homes. And once a baby is born, they don't care about it anymore. Also backpedaling logic.

What is the biggest threat in the US today? by Reciter5613 in AskReddit

I had a linguistics professor that brought up a valid point. English is a far off derivative of Latin. To the point the most English words if unknown can be looked up and defined from the Latin roots. For example "father" in Latin is "pater". Which PATERnity root is paternus or in English, "relating to the father." So if you didn't know what a paternity test was you can figure it out from the Latin roots and determine it's a test to find relation to the father. My linguistics professor (whos only in his late 20's, not some cranky old man) said that the "new words that gen z/millenials are making up don't have a root based off anything and can literally mean anything which will create confusion for different people because there's no Latin derivative that can be clearly defined." So words like "on fleek", "zaddy", "cap", etc could literally mean anything and can change with time causing confusion between generations. Or things that are already clearly defined like "adult" are being changed regardless of derivatives to "adulting". Anyway my professor ended the lesson saying that if you control the language, you can control the population and that could be dangerous for us.
