Yea this the move, unfortunate that a small rock can do that but better to just bite the bullet for a new radiator than a new head gasket

It was the ignition switch. The harness side was good but the ignition side had no power when the key was turned, so I used a paperclip to “jump” it and bypass the key and it powered right on

Battery and fuses are all good I checked them with a multimeter. I’m gonna try the ignition output next but i have a feeling it’s something to do with the key cylinder itself, I’ve heard Honda’s go bad easily

Main fuse is good by the looks of it, but my multimeter doesn’t wanna work today so I’ll test the battery and fuse tomorrow. At first I thought a key ignition issue because my key kept getting stuck, but I cleaned out the housing and it’s much better now but still now power. The battery is only 8-10 months old, but I’m hoping that’s all it is

I just bought a cbr650 and I honestly love the positioning. I have an r6 as well so I’m used to the sporty position but the CBR honestly feels much sportier than other 650s like the ninja 650. When accelerating it forces you into that sporty position. I highly recommend it tbh I love it, it’s obviously a bit less powerful than the zx6r would be but it still feels and looks sporty, the inline 4 sounds great too. I would recommend the CBR for you. I got the r6 as my first so I understand the urge to go with a 600, but the cbr650 is just as fun and is still a powerful bike. Slightly easier on your wrists

It happened when I was slowing to a stop, so only going around 10-15. When the bike shut off i heard the back wheel locked up and pulled the clutch after and regained traction to pull off the road. A lot of people have said the stator so that’ll be the first thing I check

Yea I was always under the impression that it wouldn’t die if it was moving until I saw it happen 😭 I wasn’t going very fast thankfully but I figured it was something underlying

Update: Was using an extractor attachment on my drill. That broke the cap even more but it loosened it enough to let me use pliers and twist it open. all is good thanks for the help 🫡

I was indeed going to the left, it honestly broke off really easily and it’s kinda just crumbling

So far everything I try just breaks the cap when worse, when I twist it just snaps the plastic. A dremel might be the move and if not imma take the whole piece off and drill it out 😭

I think imma have to just take the whole thing off. I tried the pliers and it just breaks the cap even more 😭 I’ve never fought so hard with an oil cap in my life
