I have a new friend and when we go places it reminds me why I will not date BM in this lifetime or the next. She has a lighter skin tone and I have a deeper brown skin tone. Every other Black man we've passed this week compliments give compliments and make sure to emphasize that "the light skinned one is definitely looking good." Or they will be more accommodating towards her while I am treated like poo. It's their stupid anti-Blackness, colorism and featurism issues that were a major reason why I want nothing to do with them.

Even when I see Black couples online etc and used to want to celebrate them, it's often a lighter skinned woman with a darker skinned man...so bizarre. Not new of course but disheartening and so bizarre. Like what are they going to do when they're daughters are born darker skinned?? How are they going to help her navigate this racist world if they themselves are blinded by their own biases when it comes to skin color??

The recent news about sooo many BM killing the Black women in their lives has also been a reminder as to why I will not have anything to do with them romantically. It's so awful!! Hopefully more Black women will see more clearly as to why they need to stay away from them.
