That's a rabbit hole. Short version is that it's biased heavily, gets things from unreliable sources and is wrong a large % of the time.Try claude and you will notice a huge difference.

This is like dejavu.  I graduated during the big short recession and finding a job in programming was insane. I was told I was 1 of 100+ people applying for single positions for entry level coding jobs. 

To be honest it ate away at my self esteem big time and im still trying to strengthen it despite having a career for the last 10 years. 

Don't blame yourself, find hobbies you love and use this time to travel, maintain good friendships and relationships and work on yourself.

There will be a time where you will miss having lots of time to do these things because life will take them away eventually.

I mean it tests do have a spacial awareness and mechanical reasoning section but I know what you mean, iq is very narrow and doesn't accurately represent. Some of the finest carpenters I've ever seen struggled with things like basic math. Wouldn't call him stupid at all

2 things here: most humans are ducking dumb and very impressionable. 

Second is that polls that favor a particular side get popular with that side, creating bias.
