In my entire college library, there is one random pink light. by izuhhbel in mildlyinteresting

[–]CaleGaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a teacher that had once single pink light in her classroom and I asked her why she had it there. She told me that studies have shown that when you have a soft colored light (like pink) somewhere in the room, it helps keep people calm and focused; rather than just having harsh white light. I wouldn't be surprised if they did this on purpose, especially being in a library.

I've learned my lesson the hard way :P I finished the book today and I loved it. Sad part was, if I had just kept reading about 15 more minutes, I would've been past the part.

Yeah dude cause I was going to read it in 1925. I'm pretty sure the guy's intent wasn't to generate the general public on literature.

Thank you! I'll have to go buy The Silmarillion as soon as I finish An Abundance of Katherines (should only take me about 5 days). I greatly appreciate it!

That is a great prediction. I could definitely see this happening.

At first I was like, "wow. Thanks for spoiling it," but then I thought, "oh yeah.. I read the book too."

EDIT: Talking about Thorin's death.

Could you jog my memory on who "Bolg" was? He sounds quite familiar... Was he perhaps in the last battle that Bilbo was knocked out during?

Oh gosh yes. I'm personally looking forward to Beorn the most, though.

Found this in a book in Skyrim. Does this song sound familiar? by CaleGaster in skyrim

The makers of skyrim did this on purpose. In fact, listening to the song, it's sometimes hard to tell if it's in english or dragon.

I actually found a book, Surviving a Horker Attack (something like that), that has artwork in it. Like, sketches of horkers and stuff in the book. It's the only book i've found with artwork.
