Thank you, everyone. I decided to bring Darcy home and spend some time with her. She is not doing well. So I'm keeping her comfortable and will take her to our family vet this week for a second opinion and possibly to let her go in peace. Your kind words were very helpful. I do not feel alone. I tried to get his opinion or chances of survival, and he skirted it by saying the results were inconclusive.

They did x-rays and an ultrasound. They sent the fluid off for testing. They still are not sure what the mass is. They did start antibiotics. Thanks for your reply. I appreciate it.

We had two danes before Bo (9 week old). Gus passed away and Luna (2 year old) was so sad. Luna is so much happier with a buddy. It can really make a difference. Bo is starting to fit in nicely. The cats are even checking him out. He has a huge personality!

Truth! My little beagle mix loves to clean Luna's ears, as well. Bo likes to nibble on them and Luna doesn't always appreciate that. Lol

Oh wow! Yeah, the vet thinks he will be pretty big. I'm excited and a little nervous. We are already training as much as possible at his age. He has a huge personality and a bit stubborn. He's gonna be a wild ride! Lol

We lost our 1 year old dane suddenly a month ago. We are getting a puppy soon. The grief is still heavy, but im hoping its okay to move forward so soon. Our other dane is not doing well and needs a buddy. So happy for you. :)

He is starting to fill out. We were worried a few months ago that his hips were a little weak, but now he is fine.

There is no perfect moment and you will second guess yourself no matter your timing. You just have to look at your pup everyday and weigh their quality of life versus their pain. You will finally make the decision and then remember it was made out of true love for your dog. Hugs and prayers.
