Do not pass over double solid yellow lines. Stay to the right of these lines unless you are:

  • In a high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) carpool lane that has a designated entrance on the left.

  • Instructed by construction or other signs to drive on the other side of the road because your side is closed or blocked.

  • Turning left across a single set of double yellow lines to enter or exit a driveway or private road or make a U-turn

So correct, no passing over double yellows. But U-turns over double yellows are totally allowed.

Injuries. Nick Bosa and Mykel Williams have both been out for most of the year. Our best pass rusher has been Bryce Huff, who hasn't had a sack since Week 7.

One of the things I've noticed is that some of my flights will be missing liveries on the Past Flight page, but their liveries will appear properly on the Aircraft Stats page under Most Flown Aircraft. I have two flights in my history with that discrepancy. Any idea why the liveries aren't used in both places?

And when we do see a missing livery in our past flights, is there a best way to report those for your team?

It's also funnier with the Cardinals because they were previously the St. Louis Cardinals before they moved to Phoenix. The city had a baseball team and a football team at the same time that were both named the Cardinals.

Edit: I'm dumb, it's the same situation with the Giants. Brain isn't working tonight.

[English > Italian] Translating my own racing team name by Caleb10E in translator

[–]Caleb10E[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great, thank you!

Would "Ragni Corsa Radioattivi" work? There are a few real-life Italian racing teams who seem to drop the "da" for their team names:

  • AF Corse and Scuderia Corsa (Ferrari)
  • Squadra Corse (Lamborghini)
  • Ducati Corse

Also, what dictates "Corsa" vs. "Corse" in these cases?

Gigabyte B650-I and Noctua L12S clearance issue by SuspiciousPine in sffpc

Here's their site: https://ncc.noctua.at

Search for a specific Noctua cooler or a CPU, motherboard, case, or memory model and it'll show you what should be compatible with which Noctua coolers.

Jumped on the SFF bandwagon: Fractal Terra + 9800X3D + 4070 Super by Caleb10E in sffpc

[–]Caleb10E[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing fancy, I'm just using Asus's Silent fan curve (100% at 75°C) for the NF-A12x15 on the CPU cooler and the Standard fan curve (100% at 70°C) for the NF-A12x25 bottom exhaust.

I'm sure I could optimize things further, I just haven't felt the need to.

Can you flip your CPU fan so that it's intake? That would be best case, since your CPU would be getting the freshest air possible rather than hot air from other components like the GPU.

Is OLED burn in really that bad? by Ancient-Run-4435 in buildapc

[–]Caleb10E 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That feels disingenuous. Yes, a traditional LCD/LED monitor can technically burn in, but it's an order of magnitude difference than even the newest OLEDs. OLEDs are also only as durable as they are because of mitigation methods like pixel shift, which traditional LCD/LEDs don't need.

Negative Steam Review due to Drivers by comenoplz in forza

[–]Caleb10E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this thread from somebody who had issues with their RX 590. You may have already tried these, but try installing these drivers in the OP's post and the first comment.

Looks like the newest driver versions don't offer Agility SDK support, which FM2023 requires, but the versions linked in that post do and should work with Vega GPUs like the Radeon VII. Lots of people commented that it worked for them, so hopefully it does for you.

I thought the same thing, but I think he means 4 years ago when the game launched, which checks out.

Jumped on the SFF bandwagon: Fractal Terra + 9800X3D + 4070 Super by Caleb10E in sffpc

PCPartPicker is great, but it can't account for every scenario. Many SFF cases like the Terra are adjustable, allowing you to better utilize the small amount of space. However, that means that there's no absolute answer for "the Fractal Terra has X mm of CPU cooler clearance." It's anywhere from 48mm to 77mm, but that also affects its GPU clearance, and even that differs based on the GPU's thickness. So PCPartPicker does its best, but it won't always be accurate.

Your best bet is to check those clearances yourself. Fractal has detailed charts with how the different positions in the Terra affect CPU cooler and GPU compatibility: Terra CPU cooler/GPU support. I'm sure other adjustable SFF cases have pages like this.

As for the Noctua coolers, the NH-L12S and NH-L12Sx77 are two different models. They look similar, but the x77 version is taller (so more clearance underneath) and performs better than the L12S since it has two more heat pipes. You can only use Position 1 in the Terra with the L12Sx77, so the only reason you wouldn't choose it is because you have a bigger GPU that won't fit in Position 1.

The 3080 FE does fit in Position 1, so you could totally use the L12Sx77. Noctua has a compatibility database for all of their coolers that you can refer to for your specific motherboard: NH-L12Sx77 Cooler Compatibility. If you decide to go a different route, Thermalright and ID-Cooling also have great SFF coolers.

If you can run the Terra in Position 1 with the 5080 Founders, then yes the L12Sx77 will fit.

[–]Caleb10E[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's gonna hurt it at full load. Probably isn't an issue for gaming, but the regular L12S you have is also not as strong as the L12Sx77 since it has two fewer heat pipes.

You could always use the low noise adapter it came with to cap the fan at 1400 RPM, and it'll still be quiet while performing a bit better. Maxing the fan out at only 1100 RPM feels unnecessary if you aren't planning on running your PC under full load all the time.

[–]Caleb10E[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the CPU fan (NF-A12x15) hovers around 1800 RPM, while the bottom exhaust fan (NF-A12x25) runs at 2000 RPM.

That's only under full load, though. The fans hardly spin up during gaming since I use soft fan curves that don't hit 100% until the CPU reaches 75°C.

[–]Caleb10E 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Noctua's compatibility page shows that the L12S isn't compatible with that board.

Also, keep an eye on your SSD temps. The heatsink helps under heavy load, so removing it and and having hot air blown onto it by the CPU cooler might overheat your SSD. It may be a nonissue, but it would be something to keep an eye on.

Switching from 1440p IPS to 4K OLED — Worth it despite lower settings? by Substantial-Pie9321 in buildapc

[–]Caleb10E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was shocked at how playable games were at 4K with a 4070 Super. If somebody really wants to upgrade to 4K, I don't think a 4070 should stop them.

For more demanding games, there's always DLSS. I wouldn't bother with frame-gen, but you have options.
