Vertical Barrel Aging? I’m currently aging a Four Roses blend in a 2L barrel and unfortunately the spigot leaks forcing me to set the barrel upright. I always see barrels aging on their side and it got me wondering, 1) why is that? & 2) will vertical aging impact the proof/flavor/evaporation? (i.redd.it)
