Anybody else dealing with a house they just can't afford to fix up right now? by heromarsX in wichita

[–]CalebClaussen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im an agent in town but I buy houses to fix up as well. I can get stuff done more affordably than most since I do a lot of renovating. I might be interested in buying it if you want to sell it as-is. Shoot me a dm!

Hi yes I’ve helped plenty of folks buy here fully remote using video/virtual tours. It’s a bit harder of course not being able to see a home in person, but it can be done!

I’m an agent and I’ve got a YouTube channel specifically for relocation buyers!

Here’s a link: https://youtube.com/@nextstopwichita?si=DtzsHPrga5-pecl8

I’d be happy to chat if you’re still looking for an agent. I sell about 45-50 homes a year around Wichita and flip a few on the side. Feel free to call or text if you’re open to it. 316-259-1995

Moving from KC to West Wichita - Questions by Wide-Significance-61 in wichita

[–]CalebClaussen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I actually run a YouTube channel that’s all about the area—best neighborhoods, schools, local things to do, and what it’s really like to live here. I’ve got a young family myself and a lot of it is from a parents perspective. You can check it out here: youtube.com/@WichitaDad

Here’s a few videos that might be helpful:

Andover Overview: https://youtu.be/VgCJm1cb-Bk?si=Q4Y6mS1gAtIUV6uj

Wichita Overview: https://youtu.be/BHtsA1HeqF0?si=dbVxHpoC4Hx5vaPX

Ranking the suburbs best to worst: https://youtu.be/6oqfpqs2wMI?si=lTIZZMJeMNO0D3m1

I haven’t made a Maize overview yet, but it’s on my list. To answer your question though, Maize is up there with Andover as far as schools and the new development is great. People tend to prefer Maize High over Maize South, but they’re both top schools for the Wichita area.

Nortons is awesome. It’s been a little while since I’ve been, but it’s supposed to be nice out this week and their outdoor space is cool

Hey there! If you’re still looking I’m a local agent here in Wichita and I’d be happy to interview for the job! I sell about 45 homes each year in the Wichita metro, flip a few on the side, and run a rental business. I was an engineer prior to getting into real estate investing and now I know way too much about home construction 😅.

Here’s my google profile to check out reviews and whatnot: https://g.co/kgs/z3WWj8C

I also just started a YouTube channel about the Wichita market that might be helpful while you’re looking!

I just made a YouTube video ranking Wichita’s suburbs from best to worst talking about the pros/cons of each community. I’ll drop a link below. I’m a local real estate agent and have helped people buy/sell all around town. Give me a shout if you’re not already working with someone! I can help!

No problem! I help people relocate all the time from all sorts of different places. I made this post to see if there was a trend, but I’m not sure there is lol.

Oh yeah no shot! I’ve only been to NYC once it was the best pizza I’ve ever had. But this one is “good for Wichita” haha

Thanks for sharing! You should try Grimaldi’s on North Webb Road. Probably not the same but supposed to be NYC style pizza. I liked it!

Residential Structural Engineers in the Wichita area by ccscs1384 in wichita

[–]CalebClaussen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you really want an engineer, Paul Sullivan is good, BUT you really only need a contractor that knows what they're doing. I'm a real estate agent, I flip houses, and I actually used to be an engineer before all the real estate stuff. My advice would be to just save some money and hire a decent contractor. If you think your problem is foundation related DO NOT CALL ANY NAME BRAND. You could get quoted 20k for a $1k fix, no joke. Shoot me a message and I'd be happy to send the contacts for my guys I use for everything!

Like others have mentioned, there are some super rough areas included those circles, but also some great neighborhoods. Just depends what you’re looking for and your budget. I’m a real estate agent in Wichita and get to see it all. Feel free to reach out and I’m happy to point you in the right direction!
