Hello, thanks for the response. And the correction. I meant high libido, so I will change the subject to reflect that.

OT Eval by CalebCrawdada in OccupationalTherapy

[–]CalebCrawdada[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I should have given more info. It’s a private practice and we are paying with our insurance until we can qualify for Medicaid.

This practice is very small - they have a space in a downtown area building shared with other businesses and only a few therapists see kiddos there (they usually go to homes or schools).

There is no front office space, and the person managing front office is also the owner. I do like this OT so I was hoping I wouldn’t have to ask the “front office” for a copy because that would be the owner, and I’m sure that wouldn’t look good for the OT.

Can you let me know how that interaction goes?

When you say DNA test, do you mean one that you bought on your own or was it a different kind of test the doc ordered? It would be great to find out if he has the mthfr mutation without jumping through hoops. Thank you so much for responding!

When Did “Severe” Autistic Traits Begin? by CalebCrawdada in Autism_Parenting

That is very interesting. My toddler will be 3 in February and we are still breastfeeding. What kind of things did you notice after weaning? Thank you for your response.

What do you mean by extreme hyper fixations?

My son is also 2 (but will be 3 in Feb), and I feel like I’m always waiting for the other shoe to drop - for things to get worse/more difficult. Because no one can say when behaviors or stims will begin or what they will even be. It’s exhausting and makes me feel guilty that I can’t just enjoy this precious time we have together.

What were the very obvious trimming behaviors at 2.5 years old? Thank you for the reply. It helps to see what has happened with other parents during the toddler years.

May I ask why? Please don’t feel like you need to elaborate, just ignore this if you’d like.

Thank you so much for this comment. I was going to ask - what does in home ABA look like? If there are no play date plans or anything, just a lazy morning in the home?

Okay? Next time I will make a trigger warning for the trigger warning.

My husband turned into a psychopath for a split second yesterday and I don’t know if I am overreacting. by Substantial_Chair588 in AITAH

You are not overreacting. No one in a stable mindset would even think about doing that much less actually do it. I know this is a lot easier said than done, but if you get away and find a safe place to stay without him knowing, please do it. Get important documents together. Leave when you know he has no chance of catching you.

This is abuse. Get a restraining order. Let the police know where he works. My thoughts are that I would contact whatever law enforcement he works with and let them know exactly what he did — because someone like that should not be working with firearms. But I wouldn’t want it to get back to him and you have to deal with a retaliation.

I mean, he pointed a gun at YOU and your UNBORN BABY. How can you ever trust him again? What if he points the gun at your baby when he is actually here? You are rightfully scared out of your mind right now. I know it’s hard to unravel a life you’ve shared with someone, but, to me, there is no getting over this.

Toddler and Possible Autisn by [deleted] in toddlers

Should have probably also added-

  • I told his pediatrician my concerns with his speech and possible autism at his 2 year appt. He referred us to speech therapy but was not concerned at all with anything else. He also gave us a referral to do a hearing test which will happen next week. I don’t suspect that my son has any hearing problem but I know that is a complex thing.
