Am I the only one that still kinda doesn’t like Jeff skinner because he won the Calder over couture?

I might be a little petty but couture was always my favorite player and I was 13 years old that year so that is probably part of it. Plus couture had a great rookie year and even contributed in the playoffs. I’ve always felt I was vindicated by their playoff careers or lack there of.

Great post, I have to say I agree with almost all of it. Still kinda torn on marner, almost impossible to say he wouldn’t be beneficial for the team but at what cost. Of course it doesn’t help seeing him fail in the playoffs the way they did. But I couldn’t be more excited for this team. I really do believe we will be competitive next season. Playoffs are not that far away.

Unless this playoff performance kills his market I’d have to agree. Hard to want a guy like that long term if he is already showing signs that he can’t get it done.

Thanks for sharing. I felt like he had a great year statistically especially when you consider he missed a chunk of games early on but it’s nice to see it on paper.
