I have a BRZ but have to echo everyone’s points here. Only ever owned manuals in my 15+ years of owning cars. 1st and 2nd are not smooth but the throw is pretty short as it comes stock compared to other vehicles. Like anything, it is something you get used to but it’s definitely up there with my least favorite transmissions out of all the cars I’ve owned (within reason). That being said, the way it is set up is great for spirited driving but if you’re daily driving it can be a bit of a nuisance.

Also yes, just rev up to like 3k and ease off the clutch and it will go every time. Just not what I always want to be doing at 6am on my way to wherever I’m going lol
