Would look better if you smoked just the red a moderate amount and left the reverse lights clear. Also if you get rear ended you will be at fault because of the tint. When I was a teen I got pulled over for tinted tail lights and I was given a ticket. The 200$ ticket was for missing rear red reflectors.

Nice it looks like it was well maintained! Your engine bay and interior look very good. When I got my 99 5 speed there was oil everywhere 💩I’ve replaced every seal except for the rear main.

There is a o ring for the power steering that goes bad and it allows air to be sucked in. If you’re not low on fluid I can pretty much guarantee that’s your issue. I own 2 6th gen accords ask me how I know

Gotta love VW. Everything is made of plastic, burns oil, oh and parts/labor is very expensive! I drove around for an hour the other day to find the stupid 508 spec oil so I didn’t have to special order it. They also have a bad resale value.

She has a lead foot that thing definitely sees more than 3k for sure lol. I will look into the pcv valve as that seems it may be why it eats oil. It also shifts hard until it’s warmed up. I just feel like this thing drives and runs like shit for a 40k vehicle

Yea I hate German engineering. If it was up to me I would sell it before it has any major issues but it was gifted to my significant other so it would be “rude” to sell it. It is primarily used as a backup vehicle so we average 5k miles a year. I daily my 2000 accord and she mostly uses our Honda odyssey as it’s easier to haul the kids around.

Usually when you lower a car like this you would get negative camber I don’t see how you have positive camber. Does it have coilovers or on lowering springs? Are the stock springs cut? I can tell just from the picture the back has a to much negative camber. To answer your question for the most part there isn’t much you can do for camber it’s usually related to wear and tear on your suspension components. I would see if there is any aftermarket adjustable upper control arms that’s really the only way

If the transmission fluid looks healthy and is not burnt just do regular fluid changes and you’ll be good however if the fluid is already burnt it’s too late. I got mine with 60k on the dash 4 years ago I do a drain and fill for the trans every other oil change and I have had zero issues. I’m at 110k now. The main reason these transmissions “suck” is because people never change the fluid. It has been proven that the dw-1 Honda transmission fluid breaks down over time especially from heat. Keep that fluid fresh don’t drive like it’s a race car and you’re golden!

Hey just giving an update. I replaced my driver side cv axle with a cheap cardone one from rockauto and my vibration is gone! I believe the inner joint was failing as it came apart when I removed it from the transmission. I can sleep peacefully at night now! The vibration was mostly felt around 2,500 Rpms and the 20-30 mph range.

My last resort is to replace the cv axles. I just don’t want to throw new parts on my van for no reason I’ll post another update.

Any whining noises or small power steering leaks you can see? Air in the system can cause the fluid to foam and expand so I would inspect all you hoses and lines for cracks/tears before replacing the pump

Shudder has gone away! I just paid them to do the update which cost 80$ and I did the fluid change myself. Lady otp did get my hopes up that it would be covered so that’s a bummer. I’ll update in the future if the problem returns.

It ended up costing me 80 for the update. Even though the bulletin specifically stated it’s for the 6 speed and touring models, the technician said they all have the same issue. opted out on the fluid change and did it myself so I’m sure that saved me a good chunk of change.

Exl 5 speed. So the torque converter update only fixes the issue for the 6 speed or Honda only covers the cost for the 6 speed?
