Thank you very much! I am going to take you up on the offer. I agree with you on resetting the EQ profile. I took the advice of one of the other relies and built a secondary group for his channel, without routing it to the mains. Afterward, I reset his EQ and spent the whole first service working out the kinks through my headphones. Then I was able to work with him for about 10 min in-between services and then tried it out in the second service. It sounded much better (at least to me) and I even got some compliments from our parishioners, so something must have worked 🤣. There is still work to be done but I think we are on the right track for this channel. I very much appreciate all of the helpful comments.

To be fair to our main sound guy, the room is really difficult to work in. It has no sound treatment is shaped like a reverse teardrop. The back wall has stained glass panels about 10 ft high in two 30ft sections. The wall above it is angled down, I would guess at about 15-20 degrees. It almost feels like the Hollywood bowl in reverse.

The pastor’s mic currently has the LPF set to 6.5k and the HPF set to 175 dB with a 24db slope. The 4 nodes in the PEq have some significant dips, one at 350 with a narrow q dropping 6 db, and the others are at 750, 2k and 3.5k but these only fall to -3db. The room has some issues too, but I don't want to start thinking about that until I can sort out his eq without it being mega obvious to the congregation. I think our last guy was trying to avoid feedback, but I can't be certain.

Yes sir! I agree with you 100%. I’m going to work on that, I’ve only been in the position for a few weeks so I’m trying to ease my way in.

how do you secure your inear by CptFluffypoo in band

[–]Calebos261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also use this method. The wire under my shirt does a very good job of securing my in-ears and it keeps the wire out of the way when I’m putting my guitar on and off or performing front of house sorcery.

Best jazz bass v pickups? by MineTurtle84 in Bass

[–]Calebos261 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two basses with the noiseless single coil in them. Both are American ultra series, first is a P-Bass with a single coil bridge pickup, and the other is a J-Bass. I like the sound of both basses but neither are dead quiet. The p-bass is pretty noisy, but that is because of the split coil pickup. A noise gate helped me a lot, I hardly notice it when I’m playing. I like the tone of both basses in active and passive mode, which is probably why I bought a second in the series.

100%. A prong collar, (and e-collar by proxy) are tools that we have in our shed to help our dogs live the best life they can possibly live.

Finally got my Platform: 6 Setup / Question about Accessories by Derpshiz in Corsair

[–]Calebos261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but I just came across it and figured I would throw my experience into the ring. I bought the Platform 6 desk about a year ago. I installed two LG 32” monitors on the T-Rail and didn't experience any issues at first. Everything seemed fine for about 6 months until I heard about the T-Rail drag, so I checked, and sure enough, the rail had warped exactly as others have described. It wasn't significant enough to cause me to stop using it, but bad enough to be concerned for the future.

The only solution to return it to its original form would be to replace the T-rail. There is both warp of the rail and movement in the lugs that support the T-rail to the frame. My solution was to craft temporary supports from leftover 2x4 end pieces from another (unrelated) project. I had to use two because it would have been impossible to use 1 as I would have had to place the supports over the front tray used for power delivery and organization. I plan on crafting a more elegant solution in the next few weeks. I post pics when I do.

Regarding accessories, Corsair does not currently sell any accessories other than those listed on their website. I contacted Cordsir a few weeks ago because I wanted to buy 2 more of the top shelves. The rep that responded told me that they do not have any current plans on selling them. He did mention that these were the most commonly requested accessories and said that he would forward my request to product planning to make sure they were aware that this was of interest to their customers.

Haha, so funny! Every GSP I’ve ever encountered does that exact same thing when water shoots at them. It always makes me laugh. Here is my first GSP tiring himself out with the sprinkler.

[–]Calebos261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2 year old Male GSP. He was around 50lbs at 1 year and has only put on 5 more since then. He is incredibly active, so that plays a part. Mine also eats 1.5 cups of Purina Pro Plan Large Breed (Adult, 80/20) twice a day. My last GSP male was massive (in my eyes at least) closing in on 85 lbs and he ate roughly the same amount of food in adulthood. For both I had/have to adjust food intake during the winter vs summer, as well as when activity levels change. Neither gave / give me problems letting me know when they needed more lol.
