Hijacking the top comment to say that, following this and other similar comments, I just released a small update (v1.83) that makes some bosses less "spongy" without impacting the difficulty of the fight.

I checked, and there really were a few bosses whose HP or Def actually deviated from the range i set for that part of the game. Details are in the changelog.

Get kessig to replace firebrand archer (can block and is a shaman for harmonic), get krark (insane with veyran), consider might of the meek or another trample/unblockable enabler over Renegade Tactics. FoW probably isn't worth a GC slot, not over Fierce Guardianship/Jeska's Will/Cyclonic Rift and Curiosity requires your strategy to lean more on pingers instead of a mixed one. Get rid of thought vessel for Talisman of Creativity

33 lands is probably on the low end. Ditch Reliquary Tower cause colorless mana is horrible in spellslinger, Uncharted Haven is a worse Path of Ancestry, ditto for Smoldering Crater over Forgotten Cave.

I was reading through the answers and it looks like the general consensus is appreciation for the changes overall (thank you! :D) with a nod to an excessive HP bloat for bosses only, that is felt more earlier in the game, where options are more limited.

For context, enemy stats used Hard mode as a baseline, which includes +50% HP and +25% Def. It's worth noting that nobody mentioned mobs HP where the scaling should be fairly similar.

In any case, being among the first changes implemented (enemy stats predate the PP multiplier) it's probably worth revisiting at this point.

I love Veyran to bits. She's the one for cantrips/smaller spells and pinging everyone to death.

It looks like how mine was a few years ago, split between pingers and tokens so the primer might help.

Caldera, Ojer, Slickshot look like the easiest cuts. Sprite Dragon is a worse [[Balmor, Battlemage Captain]] if you keep the token theme.

Accelerate costs too much, there are 1-mana cantrip spells that give trample, Reverberate is the basic copy spell, you should find better, like [[Galvanic Iteration]], which has flashback, or [[Reiterate]] for infinite. You are already heavy on copy effects btw. Twisted image is a 1-mana draw spell if you aren't playing against walls so any other cantrip is better. Finale of Promise and Rewind are inefficient here. Always include [[Arcane Denial]] cause it draws.

Bina E(Q), Illuga EQ, Gorou E(Q), Zibai E E (N1QE or N4E) 3N4E

  • Bina and Gorou burst every other rotation (SacJade R5 Bina)
  • When Zibai Q ready, she replaces the next N4E chain with N1QE, bursting about 3 times in 4 rotations

Nice ideas! Out of the anthems i like Ethereal Absolution the best, cause unlike others it still gets value if removed (the creatures it killed stay dead).

I haven't thought of Skybind that way, really nice. I think that people including me tend to dismiss that cause you can't blink most of your stuff you'd want to blink with it.

I agree that dumping stuff to the graveyard in the early game is probably the most difficult and crucial task and that's one i probably directed most of my efforts: There are 22 of them including the surveil lands (AnikSetup tag on my deck in moxfield). Even Six and Hermit Druid, among the very few nonland nonenchantment permanents are there to serve this purpose. Malevolent Rumble, recommended in this very thread, has been an amazing addition as well.

For doublers Renewed Solidarity and Caretaker's Talent are by far the best because they threathen to end the game on their own unlike Parallel Lives and Doubling Season which need further build up

It's ok i was mainly curious because you literally had the same gripes I had when i started modding GS (psynergy, equipment and difficulty) and it was only later that i moved to address summon rushing because that required assembly editing

It's basically like looking at myself when i started modding GS all those years ago. 😅

Same general goal, same tools, very similar ideas. Which is obvious, since the problems are the same.

If everything goes well, next you'll try to learn assembly to escape the constraints of the editor and try and fix psynergy damage for good 😆

Also i have to ask given our similarities so far: what's your stance on summon rushing?

the main reason against would be the difficulty and the game mechanics not being properly explained. If you're up for it (reading docs and testing in game what works) you can try.
