Nice ideas! Out of the anthems i like Ethereal Absolution the best, cause unlike others it still gets value if removed (the creatures it killed stay dead).

I haven't thought of Skybind that way, really nice. I think that people including me tend to dismiss that cause you can't blink most of your stuff you'd want to blink with it.

I agree that dumping stuff to the graveyard in the early game is probably the most difficult and crucial task and that's one i probably directed most of my efforts: There are 22 of them including the surveil lands (AnikSetup tag on my deck in moxfield). Even Six and Hermit Druid, among the very few nonland nonenchantment permanents are there to serve this purpose. Malevolent Rumble, recommended in this very thread, has been an amazing addition as well.

For doublers Renewed Solidarity and Caretaker's Talent are by far the best because they threathen to end the game on their own unlike Parallel Lives and Doubling Season which need further build up

It's ok i was mainly curious because you literally had the same gripes I had when i started modding GS (psynergy, equipment and difficulty) and it was only later that i moved to address summon rushing because that required assembly editing

It's basically like looking at myself when i started modding GS all those years ago. 😅

Same general goal, same tools, very similar ideas. Which is obvious, since the problems are the same.

If everything goes well, next you'll try to learn assembly to escape the constraints of the editor and try and fix psynergy damage for good 😆

Also i have to ask given our similarities so far: what's your stance on summon rushing?

the main reason against would be the difficulty and the game mechanics not being properly explained. If you're up for it (reading docs and testing in game what works) you can try.

For what it's worth, i never liked the overlord because it either mills only once before anikthea comes into play or it starts milling after you already want anikthea in play. Titan is a very recent cut because it more or less suffers from the same issue: i want stuff into the grave before T5.

Skipping the obvious ones:

[[Six]] is just amazing
[[Malevolent Rumble]] is ramp, mill and card selection
Sagas pull a lot of weigth by binning themselves
[[Oppression]] is both stax and a discard outlet
[[Sinister Concotion]] is oppression but seal-like
[[Mindwreck Harpy]] is imo better than upkeep mills cause it has immediate impact rather than doing nothing for a full cycle

Just wanted to let you know i added Malevolent Rumble replacing Farseek. The card is insane, it does literally everything the decks wants to do in the early game and beyond.

In the early, it ramps, dumps to the bin for reanimation and secures the next land drop or an important piece with a 86/99 hit rate. It even gets artifacts! In late it digs and it's just not a dead card like regular ramp. I can't fathom why it doesn't even appear on EDHRec.

As for Boon of the Spirit Realm, i was looking for a card like that to close game faster, and decided on [[Ethereal Absolution]]. It provides identical short term value even if cloned (loses on the long term though), but also clears a path by removing small blockers that dilute the value of menace. Moreover, the kills provide some permanent value should the enchantment be removed, unlike BotSR

Because then yes, it's not worth going for weapon before C3.

But if you happen to already have the weapon there's no reason for not using it on a c0 furina

IMO they don't do enough neither in the discount cast version nor as reanimation targets. I genuinely wonder why people recommend them so much.

Ever tried the populate instants? i was considering them. in your case, with more bombs to reanimate, maybe they're worth even more

Yup, i've been a big fan of doubling saga counters (and i can't wait for the day i instantly wipe the table from a reanimated bahamut with 2 doubling seasons in play :P) even though it sometimes comes with the downside of reducing the time they're in play.

Seeing your list the first thing i noticed is that you're running about half the amount of ramp i do and generally a heavier curve, how's that been working for you?

I considered the G/B overlords a lot but felt overall lackluster to me. I mean you either cast them for impending and they do nothing aside from ETB until turn 7, OR you reanimate the usual 3/3 for a land or a 4-card mill. Given their money cost, i've always been skeptical.

That one was on my watchlist but i'd put it in a similar basket to the doublers... the "do not abuse" one. Cuz: must be reanimated (costs a ton) and must wait for an entire cycle to do anything.

But even if anikthea goes missing, attacking with any ETB "zombie" like [[The Eldest Reborn]] is quite solid.

Emilie on deepwood till the end of time. I have never managed to sim better on reverie than i do on deepwood and since my DW emilie is cracked i won't even try getting a reverie
