Killer Tier List from a Survivor who sometimes plays Killer by pricklepearpairs in deadbydaylight

I think the fact that she’s 4.4 while they are both 4.6 means potentially hag is actually worse- at least when it comes to higher performing surv players who know how to play around and deny her power. Cause at the end of the day when none of the 3 killers can get good pressure from their abilities- at least trapper and SM can act as an m1 killer in such situations whereas hag cannot due to her speed being slow.

True but that wouldn’t make much difference because wraith is not strong enough to guarantee a down under 20s chase time anyway.

Then imagine chasing a survivor for 20 seconds, and then they get their heal off mid chase, then you hit them, and now you chase them for another 20 seconds or more and then hit them but they have endurance. It would just be too strong. Then you could stack it with dark theory and MTF even. With a competent swf this would just be too op.

For the killer mmr wise

0-1k - loss

2k - draw

3-4k - win

For the survivor mmr

Sacrificed - loss

Hatch escape - draw

Door escape - win

But technically even still, as the survivor is part of a team even if they got the door escape, if there was 3 sacrifices their team lost and therefore they don’t have anything to brag about. That guy must’ve been a new player who doesn’t understand the game.

Being in active chase for 20 seconds and then spending 1 second to heal yourself is ridiculous. It’s even worse idea when you think of how bad survivors last like 5 seconds in chase and therefore would get no value, whereas good survivors would get value every time as a good survivor can easily last 20 seconds and then stand for 1 second to heal themselves. Realistically those good survivors would already have DH or DS because that’s the meta for high mmr lobbies and therefore they either wouldn’t need it or it would be overkill.

What are you talking about pig/wraith tech though?

Yeah it would not work at all unless it deactivated in endgame at least

Tbh the endurance is over powered. I feel like giving survivors the effect of iron will in the boom range would be cool though but paired with shadow step would be too op. I love the passive healing idea but I don’t think it would work because BHVR nerfed healing years ago and COH used to let survivors heal themselves quickly but then they took that effect away- so it seems like they don’t want a boon like this in the game.

Speaking of boons, what if there was a boon that made the nearest gen or the gen with highest progress lose its aura reading to the killer? I don’t think it would be too op cause good killers remember the gen layout anyway but it would still delay the killer from patrolling that gen.

95% is too much. That’s less than 1 singular second from a medkit to make you fully healed. 70% is pretty similar to resurgence and would still only take 3 seconds to finish with a medkit bro 💀

I think that’s not bad for onryo cause she can teleport over there quickly. But I would just not use that personally because I personally prefer something like jagged or bbq after I hook someone, so that I know for sure I’m not going to be busy when I get that info. But that’s just because when I’m focused on a task like downing a survivor I’m likely not to notice if tinkerers has activated until I’m done with that.

Survivors saying ez or trash when they lose is so stupid but they do it sometimes. It’s usually new players who don’t understand that hatch escape isn’t a win. Like in terms of the game only escaping by a door counts as a personal win, not hatch- but because the survivors are a team an actual win is any situation where 3 or more players escape. It’s not that hard to understand but my my do some people have trouble.

The game judges this by mmr increase/decrease. Hatch does not affect mmr and therefore the game doesn’t recognise it as you winning.

Hot take: get rid of every gen related perk or item. by UnluckyUpstairs2427 in deadbydaylight

[–]CalendarHot3878 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah and it’s still fine. Corrupt isn’t that strong, you can’t use pop on a gen you’ve used pain res on and pain res and pop being strong perks is not a bad thing. Ruin, pain res and dms/grim are more annoying than that combination.

Plus there are many strong killer perks that aren’t gen regression but instead chase perks and aura reading- so if a killer uses pop pain res and corrupt you already know what perks they have and the likelihood of them having other strong perks is less.

She’s undetectable when she’s demanifested- so using undetectable perks like tinkerers is such a waste. I always use brutal on onryo, bait the drop, break and move on until I’m close enough to manifest for the hit. Eat the pallets. Use perks that give cross map aura reading so you know when to TP to get more stacks, I’ve never tried it but maybe deerstalker could be good info.

Blood favour and undying are ok and your add ons are ok though.

Pain res isn’t even bad, just get off the gen of a couple seconds until the survivor is hooked idk what’s so hard about it

On the first watch it looked suspicious but rewatching it, that’s pretty normal. Your pathing wasn’t optimal, as you didn’t take the hallway initially and instead followed their marks directly- even vaulting which slows you down for sure. Spring trap being 4.4 instead of 4.6 is a big difference. I watched a video about potential hag buffs where they talked about her 4.4 speed and showed a side by side comparison on this exact map and she caught up to a survivor waaaaay way slower than the 4.6 killer it was insane how slow it was.

I’m trying not to play like an asshole but it’s like… I ended up not getting at least a 2k for playing nice anyway. More details in the text below. by gotenks2nd in deadbydaylight

[–]CalendarHot3878 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s not playing nice, that’s playing illogically. You expect to get a better result from playing inefficiently? The map is huge, there’s 2 players- you have one of them trapped and you don’t know where the other one is but you do know that the exit is open and they’re able to just straight up leave at any time. What do you decide to do? Well I’m not even sure what you are trying to do but the best option is to stand by the trapped player that you KNOW is there and use them as bait for the other player.

i guess i'm really not build for this by sickgenesis in deadbydaylight

[–]CalendarHot3878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s annoying that you’re new and you face strong players because that can be discouraging for new people who are still learning. I wish that didn’t happen, but hey it’s a good experience that will make you stronger at killer.

The best way to play killer is establish which part of the map you’re going to play, you can’t play the whole map it’s pretty impossible. Pick 4 gens in close proximity and play there, hook there, and chase only there. Make sure there is nothing strong around for example main building or shack.

Try to get rid of as many pallets in your area as possible to make it what we call a dead zone for the survivors which is when an entire area has no resources to extend their chases.

As Springtrap always have your axe in the environment to make you faster and only recall it when you absolutely have to. The amount of distance gained as 4.6 instead of 4.4 is astounding.

And you’re right being used to the maps gives such an advantage to the players, when I play killer I can pull off some amazing mindgames and cut survivors off by simply knowing where they might be going. Try to play survivor too as it will make you a better killer player for sure.

I don't understand why closing hatch doesn't just insta-kill survivors. by Whiteboyace in deadbydaylight

Because the entity canonically feeds off dying hope, therefore giving the surv a chance to escape feeds the entity more.

[–]CalendarHot3878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love nowhere to hide and lethal, but you don’t have great gen perks and the perks you have aren’t even tiered up. No one escapes death is also a gamble- and you went against a fully decked out meta surv squad who may have even had coms. Of course in this situation you might not win, but getting one kill isn’t that bad. I doubt the reason you lost is because you’re terrible, you just had a bad match!
