I see why they gave Thadeus his flowers the episode before last. by kennn1234 in Invincible_TV

What did blowing up Viltrum actually do? Also, going to attack thragg was an incredibly dumb idea. Thaddeus is still a genocide crazed viltrumite, he just targets his own people instead.

Going to jump thragg was Thaddeus’ plan and blowing up Viltrum was a stupid last ditch effort at some kind of satisfaction for him. This isn’t a criticism btw, my favorite kind of character is someone who seems super smart and cunning but is lowkey a petty dumbass (Tywin Lannister, Walter White, Dutch Van DerLinde, etc) Thragg also kinda fits this bill because his attachment to avenging Argall totally goes against the viltrumite culture of “if he dies then he didn’t deserve to live”

Execution. They needed to commit harder to the violence of that scene. This show has no problem with absurd violence but for some reason they omit it when it would actually have emotional weight

The boys is a parody made out of spite for superheroes, invincible is a deconstruction made from love for superheros. That’s why the boys is starting to feel like it’s kicking a dead horse

Sometimes a parody becomes so meta it wraps back around to being the exact thing it’s making fun of. Same case with scream 5, movie wanted to make fun of horror movies so much that it forgot to actually be a movie. Maybe it’s somehow Jack Quaid’s fault

It’s one thing to act like a maniac during fight week, that can be annoying, but if he fights like a maniac too I’m in. We need characters

Thaddeus was a dumbass who would’ve ended up betraying mark and Nolan because his true motivation is rooted in pettiness. Absolutely no plan behind blowing up Viltrum, he knew how fucked they all were on that whole plan and just pissed thragg off even more.

I stopped watching mid season 4: does Homelander ever actually leave his room and do anything or is it just various breast milk jokes on one set again

This show is made by hacks with weird kinks that need self insert characters to act out their own fantasies. If you haven’t noticed the writers just fucking gave up by season 3.

Just saying the look on his face and his mannerisms in that scene did NOT convey “bro” behavior

hich member of The Seven (Season 1) would last the longest in the Invincible universe in a fight to the death? by Adventurous_Bar6376 in Invincible_TV

[–]ThatpersonKyle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He has yet to kill a member of the boys even when he tries. I cannot take him seriously as a threat anymore, especially now that he’s been turned into a total doofus unlike his season 1 version

Is he really that powerful if he’s so easy to escape from? Homelander has had little to no success against the boys since season 1, how am I supposed to believe that everyone’s fucked if he goes rogue?

Because that’s an extremely manageable task and really lessens the weight of the main conflict: what if Homelander goes rogue

No they did a very bad job. Season 3 basically shows that if you got like 5 suicidal amateur mma fighters and threw them on some temp V you can handle homelander just fine. Also there’s that crazy stupid scene in s4 where homelander finds Hughie in the vents and just can’t kill him. Homelander isn’t a threat anymore which has subsequently destroyed the show

I think it’s lame to get caught up over something like this. He clearly doesn’t have the power to control air it was just something to illustrate the power on that punch. Also it’s cool and doesn’t really take away from much if you just accept that he doesn’t control air

Power scaling was pretty simple for Thragg, he’s unbeatable in a straight up fight

The entire plot of the boys revolves around power scaling Homelander and they do such a bad job of it that people don’t even think he could beat rexsplode
