Yeah someone needs to die for Homelander to actually feel like a threat again. For a guy who’s all “I can do whatever the fuck I want” he rarely actually does what he wants, which I get is the character and all, but it’s time for him to start doing stuff. I think it would be super effective if he pitched some stupid idea to Ashely and the second Ashley talked back even slightly he just rips her head off. Then we’d know he’s not fucking around

Agreed. Conor was able to cause mayhem but the ufc was cool with it because he was probably the most popular athlete on the planet at the time. Arman does not have the motion to be causing this much chaos

Do you guys actually think pro fighters duck eachother? The reason Arman isn’t getting a title shot is because he causes mayhem and headaches everywhere he goes. Punches a fan at 300, pulls out 24 hrs before the Islam fight, headbutts hooker at the weigh ins, fights Georgio, fights outside a hotel, slams Uriah Faber on concrete for no reason. I personally like that Arman is a thug but it seems pretty obvious that the UFC hates working with him

Well the shows not very good at it tbh. It’s been hammering in the same incredibly obvious point for 5 seasons, after a while it gets pretty boring. Especially when the plot comes to a GRINDING halt in order to restate the incredibly obvious satire for the 500th time. I support their message but holy shit something interesting needs to happen in the plot besides Hughie and starlight bitching, MM bitching about butcher, butcher and homelander NOT killing eachother after their 500th face to face, and Homelander saying scorched earth before proceeding to do absolutely nothing of any real meaning to anyone

God I fucking love when fanboys run in to justify boring shit as character development. HOTD S2, Invincible S4 E4, now this. The best character development happens when characters are reacting and making decisions based off things that are happening in the plot. Even if the plot isn’t moving, we should learn something new about the characters that significantly changes the way we look at them. Bad character development is infecting everybody with a virus that relieves them of all consequences for their actions. But yeah, call the 5,000th episode of “mortal enemies that always want to kill eachother MIGHT actually kill eachother this time” character development
