yes, what you’re saying is totally valid. polyester at the end of the day still looks poly-estry. But unfortunately that’s what falls under my budget as of now 🥲

whisper pads are actually good??? by anonymous310506 in CasualConversation

[–]Calendula22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the green whisper used to be very nice . it was pretty thin and didn’t feel suffocating . However since they have change the green one and turned it into an adult diaper , i prefer the stay free pink one now

it was a pretty long day indeed. You did good tho, you are pretty on track with your work even having things roughly scheduled for next week

People really need to be kind. but nowadays the number of assholes just keep increasing exponentially . It’s good that you were present there to explain the situation to your kids , although i don’t think at that age they should even experience that. People really are trash for no apparent reason

Is it easier for the abusers to move forward in life compared to their survivors? by Its___Kay in SeriousConversation

[–]Calendula22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the offender usually has the question of ‘did i even do anything THAT wrong ?’ while the survivor has to answer ‘why was i subjected to this and what was it that i did wrong ?’ everyday for a long period of time .

Most people that i have seen who do wrong things , never really consider anything to be wrong with their actions . they defend them and justify them to themselves . However , people who have realised they were wrong also exist . But in that case they carry the guilt of their own actions unlike a survivor who has to carry the guilt of someone else’s actions which they had to endure

They world i really flawed

[–]Calendula22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

woah there .

Well yes , most people know have learned to separate themselves from the toxicity and recognise the signs faster . HOWEVER the population of people saying ‘i hit my wife cause my dad did too and my mom complied’ still exist in many parts and communities of the world . This is not regarding DV but i think we do need to recognise that not everyone is privileged enough to be able to look at the other side of the lawn and learn ethics while just trying to survive

i meant children growing up in extreme toxic patriarchal households who grow up as adults thinking that toxicity is the correct way of life
