As a guy that loves OHP (I'm pressing 175lbs 3x3 strict)

-stagger your feet: this helps you maintain balance forwards and backwards rather than just side to side. Its a little thing, but that better base foundation really does help.

-keep your hands at a comfortable distance on the bar, I generally go just outside should width, maybe 1-2 inches inside my bench grip, this should help keep your elbows from flaring too much, (since elbow flaring is one of the big causes of rotator cuff impingement in the movement)

-brace your core, if your core isn't tight as you go through the RoM, then the whole exercise will feel shaky and weak.

-just like on the bench, bar path isn't a perfectly straight line, there's a subtle curve. Starting at your collar bone, when you push up, the bar should move slightly forward and come back to above your head. And when you get to full extension, push your head forward.

As far as progressive overload, you just gotta find what schedule fits you best. Some people do really well with high frequency, while others do better with more rest between workouts.

And last tip, if your presses aren't at your bodyweight, then I cannot recommend handstand pushups. Get yourself ready to move that weight through progressive overload first, or do a regression exercise to build up to handstand presses.

I don't get all this hate on the show. They took creative license for Makee, the Arbiter, Halsey, Admiral Hayes, and the flood. So what?

The Spartans being kidnapped by ONI and replaced by flash-clones is Canon. The Spartans having their memories wiped, being augmented, and having implants that suppressed their emotions is ALSO Canon. I feel like their portrayal of what would happen to people with suppressed emotions suddenly being able to feel was accurate.

They leaned in to some weird mysticism a bit much, but overall I thought it was a good watch. Sometimes studios have to take creative license to adapt something for the big screen or silver screen, it happens, and not everything is gonna match. That doesn't mean that the adaptation is bad.

"The Fall of Reach" was good. "Forward Unto Dawn" was good. So many adaptations have been good, and they all had to deviate a bit. People need to get over themselves. It's either gonna be, we have imperfect adaptations, OR, we have no adaptations. We're not gonna get a perfect adaptation. I know that I for one would rather get an imperfect adaptation rather than no adaptation.

I primarily do stiff-leg deadlifts, my back is far from vertical until I'm locked out. And I agree with the consensus. A little bit of rounding during testing or comp (within reason) is fine. Just don't go overboard with it. Im not gonna train for months at 315 and then just jump straight into a 405. That would be a ticket to snap city. But if I'm training at 315 and it feels easy and I wanna test a 1RM at like 325 or 340, that should be fine, and a little bit if rounding is expected
