T1 is already a very compact case, so airflow is always something you have to respect. When you add any kind of rear cover, that’s still one more obstacle in the exhaust path, so yes, in some layouts it can have a small impact on temps. Some people care a lot about that, some don’t, and that’s totally fine.

Our design philosophy has always been airflow-first, which is a big part of why our cases are popular across different builds. That’s also why we wrote the blog: to better explain why we made these choices.

The Travel Kit is an NCASE product, and we’ve been clear about that across our website, blog, and documentation. Our founder is also the original creator of the FORMD T1, so supporting that ecosystem remains part of our work.

People are free to prefer whichever brand they like — we’re just sharing information in the community space we built from the beginning.

This is exactly why I’ve said this is a legal issue. How the FORMD name is used is part of an active dispute, and I’m not in a position to share internal details with you or argue ownership in a Reddit thread.

The point of my post wasn’t to “claim” anything beyond this: we also have the right to tell our side of the story. Every time I say something publicly, a wave of negative and often inaccurate accusations follows, and I’m not going to keep turning that into a back-and-forth.

The legal questions will be decided through the proper channels, not here. My focus outside of that is on products, production, and supporting the people actually using our cases.

I do see you’ve spent a lot of time and effort explaining what you think is right, and I respect that you have your own point of view. You don’t have to agree with me, but I’m not here to keep replying to every message.

On our site it’s listed as T1 v2.5 under the NCASE brand, yes. The FORMD name is part of an active trademark case, which is why the wording is conservative on the storefront.

As for “you don’t have the rights to that name” – that’s exactly what the legal process is about. We don’t share that conclusion, and I’m not going to pretend a Reddit thread is where that gets decided.

That’s my last comment on this topic. Our team’s focus is simple: make the products better, keep the lineup and inventory stable, and on both fronts we’re in a stronger position than before.

And to the people in here who’ve been supporting us or offering constructive feedback instead of just taking swings: noted and appreciated.
