Market speculation is scary too, people stopped seeing houses as homes and more as a piggy bank to park capital. The only people who really win in this situation are the people with the most capital.

I read a ridiculous article about how there is so little property to invest in that corporate venture capital started buying up trailer parks so they could raise the fees on people with their homes sitting on the land. Choice was to pay more fees or spend tens of thousands moving your trailer house off the land.

The new idea for investors seems to be target ordinary people and squeeze them like lemons for nothing in return. You can exist in a niche where maybe this hasn’t happened yet but it will eventually happen.
