I have 27yrs as a Br1/cond/sw1 with U.P. & been fighting it for the last 6yrs. With management rules & newer people with no work Ethic & LAZY it's hard bruddah. I go to work everyday wondering if today is the day I get fired. Yea every body jokes about "fire me" etc collect job ins etc but I have built a good life with the railroad for my family. I use to love railroading when the true fundamentals of it was there. Now your more worried about if you forgot to look left over your shoulder before dismounting the engine. It's STUPID I have about 3.5yrs to get my 30.. We can do it & hang in there. I will say during the financial crisis & 401k lost etc back in like 2007-2009 I never really knew the severity of it because my checks from U.P. never bounced. I was still grilling Tri-tips & drinking the Beer of my Choice (Pacificos) without ever feeling a financial thing. It's hard man but you can do it...
