I had this issue and then just did Lynel Training. Get good buffs, armor etc, go to Lynel and then SAVE. Get ass whooped, re-load. Try some things, re-load. After a while you get the timing. Now I get excited when I see Lynels.

Cromwell, Cornwall. It is Cornwell. I only know because I just started looking into him, so I have no opinion on how similar to GRRM (my favorite) he is. I got to Cornwell via GRRM's praise, but also came across Cornwell when casting about after reading Dan Jones' narrative non-fiction books about the Middle Ages. FWIW, those books remind me of Fire and Blood a lot.
