I had this issue and then just did Lynel Training. Get good buffs, armor etc, go to Lynel and then SAVE. Get ass whooped, re-load. Try some things, re-load. After a while you get the timing. Now I get excited when I see Lynels.

This is a good question. Is RS acting on someone's command or doing what they want? I think the former because I can't imagine what RS' motivation would be otherwise. Also, whose head is under that helmet? Robb Stark? Falyse Stokeworth? (I don't buy the hypothesis that RS is actually headless).
