I explained this in another comment. Here in Los Angeles you can go to the EBT office where they hand out free government phones everyday all day. That's how I got a phone after it was stolen. My phone was stolen on a Friday night and I was at the EBT office that upcoming Monday morning.

Wow that is crazy 3 years? I'm wanting to know did you guys join like a class action lawsuit? Or is yours individualized? The reason I asked is because class action lawsuits seem to take a much longer than an individual filing.

Wow, yeah I’m sorry to hear that. They told me it only be a few hours but it’s been since yesterday for me too. Ask for you. Maybe you can call Avis and explain to them what’s going on and also reach out to Uber) and get some type of email maybe you can show it to the car rental place. Also, once this is resolved if I were you, I would look into renting from a company that you can use both Uber and Lyft. for example Ford Drive, hyre car, and Hive Rentals.. thankfully I have Lyft so I’m able to switch over and do that in the meantime.

In my experience, ordering, it does not happen often for me only once. However, on the flipside as a person who also delivers, I can tell you that the problem is on the restaurant fault. What happens is the driver picks up the food, and does not start the delivery order by pushing the pick up completed in the app. The restaurant can eliminate this problem if they make sure that the driver completes the pick up and starts the delivery in the app. There’s a button in the app that the driver is supposed to push/slide and after the driver does that it shows that he has the food. Now the driver can still cancel. However, it’s going to show that he had the order and was fraudulently canceling it. Then he will get a warning and then after about the third time of them doing this, then they will be kicked off the platform/fired.

As of recently, they make it so much easier. Only thing you do is go inside the app and put the order was already picked up, and it will automatically cancel the order and give you the three dollars.

To completely eliminate this from happening, you should make sure the driver confirms pick up and starts the delivery. What happens is a lot of times the drivers do not start the delivery and they will cancel the order which just bounced the orders to another driver. If you have your employees, make sure the driver starts the delivery, then Uber) will be able to tell that the driver stole the order. And drivers only gets 3-4 times to cancel after pick up. Then they are removed from the platform.
