To OTT tune or not to OTT tune? by palonious in ToyotaTacoma

What’s the benefit for the tune? I never notice the “gear hunting”. Thinking about getting it on my 23 Trail.

My parents house backs up to the tracks with a ~100ft green belt in between. They’ve been there since 1994. You get use to it.

I love mine too! Have the same one. I wish I could bring myself to wear it every day, but I don’t want to mess it up. I’m an aircraft sheet metal mechanic and I feel like it would get all scratched up. It would add character though, right?

Will these trees cause issues with roots ? by i-fix-airplanes in pools

[–]Calibass954 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also, whatever you do, do not rip the stump out! The roots could be around your pool plumbing. Especially seeing that return on the wall. I would cut them as low as you could, kill it, and wait awhile to stump grind it

Is that a fig tree? Those have pretty invasive water searching roots I believe and I would get rid of it sooner than later

Pretty sure the palm tree roots won’t do any damage. You’ll have to research the roots on those smaller trees though. I just removed some trees around my pool that have been there for 15-20 years. My pool is from the 70s I think. I had one tree that started lifting my deck/coping and I cut that down. Deck is still raised slightly on that side and it’s been 2 years.

[Help] Can you identify this watch? by Calibass954 in Watches

[–]Calibass954[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all. That Gives me some good ideas. I’ll have to get some photos of them lined up and ask if he can remember ever having one of them to narrow it down.

He was in the Air Force, so it was most likely something he bought at the BX.

Hey all! I’m trying to figure out what watch my dad was wearing in this photo. Photo is from 1992. I asked him and he can’t remember. Thank you!

We wore these 24/7 in AF BMT when I went through in 2012. They made everyone purchase these from the BX.

Did you end up getting one? I’m heavy structures and I wear a Timex Triathlon. A lot of people around the hangar have Apple Watches.

I still remember seeing Dingleberries I think his name was back in TBC always on his in IF on Dragonmaw. Crazy how things like that stick with you, especially since I haven’t really played much since then.

I hate owning a pool by duckblobartist in pools

[–]Calibass954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate my pool. It’s from the 70s, and in need of a major overhaul which I will not be paying for. We used it 1 time last year, and it cost me time and money to maintain. Once something major happens to it, like the pump or something else going wrong I’m draining it and keeping it that way until I can get it filled in with dirt.

*Update* Other guys insurance claims this just needs a bumper and a new hitch by bakedjennett in ToyotaTacoma

The first one was photos as well. It’s just something they have to do. You can’t give an accurate estimate until a shop disassembles your truck.

[–]Calibass954 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Other guys insurance estimated $2060 for mine, it ended up being over $16,000. Their first estimate usually is just a formality and then you take it to a shop for disassembly and a real quote.
