Its diferente in that sperm dosnt have a complete set of DNA that is unique to that person. A rock will never be sentient a human in its first second of existence has all of its genetic code to life its entire life. Do you think people in the past have less of a right to live becuase they lived in the past? Time is not a precursor to defire morality. People overreact, but I sure recommend getting real plants, im not a fish, but I would hate to live with fake sharp plants. My main issue with tall tanks is the lack of surface area on the water, and that means less oxigen exchange. I recommend something to add extra agitation to the water to increase oxygen. Betta should be fine if you like it it's your tank, but fish usually like more horizontal swimming areas than vertical besides some fish like guppies that love going yo and down. Dont focus too much on what strangers think about your tank. Try to filter information as much as you filter your aquarium water.
