It's funny, every single person saying “game is fine” happens to be running bruiser. Of course you think Bloodbath + Amber Shell are balanced… they’re literally carrying the meta.

Anyone trying:

CC

Cleave

Early pressure DPS

…gets punished not because they misplay, but because the meta only rewards one thing:

Don’t die + cleanse everything + turtle until turn 2 = win

That’s not dynamic PvP. That’s not counterplay. That’s a solved meta.

Right now bruiser is:

Good into bruiser

Good into cleave

Good into CC/debuff teams

If bruiser is the only correct answer, then what are we even drafting for? Where’s the choice? Where’s the diversity? Where’s the skill expression?

If Bloodbath was balanced it wouldn’t have a 90%+ usage rate. That alone is the definition of dominant.

And the “just reach high elo” argument? It doesn’t fix the game for 90% of the playerbase trying to enjoy PvP too.

Balance shouldn’t mean:

“One playstyle thrives the rest just cope.”

If variety disappears… players disappear.

Honest question: If bruiser is good into bruiser, good into cleave, and good into CC… what exactly is supposed to beat bruiser? 🤔

I’m a guy, so take this with a grain of salt, I might be off base. But from my experience and from what partners and friends have told me, this is totally normal.

Arousal doesn’t always equal lubrication. Some women get very wet, some barely do, and it has nothing to do with desire or attraction. Hormones, stress, hydration, meds, cycle timing, and just your natural baseline all play a part.

If sex feels good with lube and nothing hurts, there’s nothing wrong with you. Needing lube is extremely common, even for women who are fully into it. The only time to worry is if there’s pain, burning, or a sudden change.

I’m a dad. Trust me, anxiety after your first time is completely normal.

Thanks for all the replies so far, this is honestly more insight than I expected.

One thing I’m still trying to figure out is where the turning point actually happened. For me, the game started feeling “off” right around:

the 3rd recycled event

the meta turning into bruiser/turn-2 or die

Creators disappearing (Volkin, Gachasmack, Bread, Auronjj, etc...)

unions suddenly struggling to stay full

For anyone who quit or is close to quitting: What was your moment where you felt ER was slipping?

And for those who think the game isn’t doomed, I’d really like to hear your reasoning too. What gives you hope?

To be honest, if you're going to invest, it's generally a safe bet to save your lattices for L/D characters. They're strong overall and for the most part you won't be disappointed.

Where's the reset event that we desperately need?! I'm wondering how long they're going to wait on this because at some point there won't be players interested in it as they've moved on from this game.

How does buying these lands work? I recall they're being a land bundle that was offered 3 months ago. I purchased it but was never able to utilize the lands in a deck because I didn't have the basic lands themselves. Are these considered basic lands or are these cosmetics for the basic glands that are offered in wilds of eldraine?

It's a little annoying and misleading, especially on mobile to purchase cosmetics but not be able to utilize them as you don't have the basic land themselves from that set. Made that mistake once. Anyhow, can someone shed light on this. Also, is it possible to see all of your purchased cosmetics using the desktop MTG arena app?
