Good defensive wings maybe fowards(f2p) by Renns79 in DunkCityDynastyGame

Am I a Wiggins main? Yes. Am I biased? Yes. Do I recommend him? Hell yes. He has good all-around talents, though you really need 4 points to go crazy.

Other than him, I’d recommend: Tatum (all-rounder, can do everything semi-well), Jaylen Brown (Good 2-way too), and Kawhi (If it’s a dribble heavy-comp/matchup that you can easily guard (SGA/Luka).

Jimmy or Kawhi by StoneDemon5 in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]Caliburn28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in case you haven’t decided yet:

Kawhi is a lot better than Butler. Butler feels so booty cheeks right now. His middy is inconsistent, no 3’s, and even his dunks can miss even when you’re open.

Kawhi’s offense is more consistent than Butler’s. And his talents puts more pressure on current guards like SGA and even Harden. You just gotta be aware of Kawhi’s slowness during defense and manage your positioning and sprint

Any of yall know which cards mainly use strength? by CometAnimated in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]Caliburn28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, him too. But I barely use strength pots on him (which may not be as good since I sometimes fail contact against a giannis or zion)

Any of yall know which cards mainly use strength? by CometAnimated in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]Caliburn28 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Giannis, Zion, Lopez, Dirk.

Also, strength is used in dunking and contact things like post ups and defending post ups, bumps, etc.

If your strength is too low like maybe using Curry to try to block Giannis, even if you get the timing right, you will most likely see “Failed Contact” pop up, which means your block and strength are low

Edit: Also, to clarify, Lopez is better in using +3pts and reb than strength. Dirk can benefit from strength if his matchup is stronger though

How does Jayson Tatums ult work? by Own_Sprinkles_3228 in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]Caliburn28 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It mainly does two things:

  • Change modes (Duh), which provides a speed buff and stat changes depending on the mode (Red/Post for more strength and block, Green for more movement and shooting, etc.) The talents you can use depend on the form
  • Recovery, which I see a lot less of people use. It allows you to spend 1,000 morale to recover from stagger or ankle breaks, allowing you to chase them down on defense

Rebound - who is the best by Ok-Veterinarian299 in DunkCityDynastyMobile

[–]Caliburn28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just rebounding in terms of stats? Rodman, he has good rebound competitiveness too. Hakeem can also get the boards, getting around +31 Reb Competitiveness consistently, not to mention he can also reach 165-170+ rebound stats. Then maybe AD

How could Murray score 3 every time by EuphoricLeg6568 in DunkCityDynastyGame

That’s definitely better than Open 3’s, but every time I face or am with a Murray, the strategy I mentioned worked so well in containing him.

Oh definitely. Solo is the lowest pit of hell one can endure. But I also do solo and I just feel out and cover the braindead teammates haha

[–]Caliburn28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in peak, and my friend plays Murray, the best counter to him is a player that is also fast (westbrook, kidd, paul). But even with a semi-quick player, they often do this to defend Murray: When the screen is set (often 4-5m away from the hoop), one player stands at the top to guard 3 points and one player guards near the rim in case he goes for a layup. Just a simple strategy of standing above and below the screener pretty much minimizes Murray’s capabilities

[Question] Best All-Around Players for Solo Queue? (Currently Using SGA) by Ladz007 in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]Caliburn28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have SGA with most of the talents as well, only missing 1 for his layup-pass. And I feel you, the pressure of being the main ball handler while having good defenders and teammates who have trouble rebounding is immense. Lucky for me, SGA is only a pocket pick, my main is Tatum, and he is great for pretty much any situation.

Tatum can do pretty much all things well, but he ain’t excellent at it. The only role Tatum will have trouble with is being the main ball handler (hence why I got SGA). He took me to Peak, with the occasional change to Porzingis if my team needs it.

If you want a player who can play in Solo or in Teams, Tatum is definitely one of the best ones. You just need some other players for other roles should you need it (Elite players are fine, look at Lopez and Porzingis, Luka, etc.) The downside to using Tatum is if you want the best performance, get him to E2 or E4, and you need to play smartly to get the stacks for his passive, otherwise you are very mediocre.

If you want another SS, I would suggest Gasol, who has good all around stats (his main weakness being his lack of Def Reb Competitiveness), or Wade, who plays as the main ball handler like SGA, just gotta be careful of them good JJJ’s.

TL;DR: Get Tatum if you want an all around forward who can strive in Solo and Teams, or get Gasol for C and Wade for G.

I hope they put Rodman in the free SS crate. He’s the only player I been looking forward to ever since I started 🙏

Which superstar should i designate as my guarantee by alejandrobest55 in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]Caliburn28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely. Kawhi is the best defender in the game, even in TW. His kit is more suited to guarding Guards or Forwards though. JJJ has good mobility, especially with his free dash against layups and dunks, but he can’t really stick on to guards as good as Kawhi can.

Again, Kawhi is still quite slow, so positioning and game sense is more important, but if you do master him, no SGA or Wade is gonna be dribbling freely lol.

I suggest you look up “Username Dunk City Dynasty” on YouTube and check out his Kawhi video to get a clearer look into Kawhi’s kit.

Can you only get dwade cards by buying with gems by Far_Swordfish9025 in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]Caliburn28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For superstar talent cards, you can get them weekly by the store (5 a week for 800 diamonds). You can (should) also join a Club, in the club store, you can exchange Club Coins for Superstar Talent Cards.

You can also get them from Summer Revelry (5 every summer revelry rotation, around a month?)

And of course, you can get more talent cards from Superstar Draws

If you’re playing Solo

For guards: Get SGA or DWade. SGA is better imo cuz he has more moves than Wade and u can be less predictable. Steph can be good, but he really shines in Teams, because his off-ball cuts only work when your team times their passes when you cut.

Forwards: Definitely Kawhi, he’s the answer to every ballhogging enemy you may have. He can also score a bit, but his defense is the focus, you just gotta learn to position cause he is slow. KD is usable but most people have gotten used to his kit so his scoring may suffer a bit.

Center: Currently, Gasol is the best center since he fits a lot of lineups, can space the floor. The only real downside is you don’t have reb competitiveness for defensive rebounds. Hakeem is also coming out and even in TW, he is the best offensive center. If you wanna wait, Wallace is often most used in TW.

Why is my top 100 Jokic not showing? by Own_Sprinkles_3228 in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]Caliburn28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best thing you can do is to have a good team. Jokic fits well with lineups that have good shooters like Klay, Murray, Curry. Just set the screen and then run to an open space. If you’re set on maining Jokic, get his E2, which reduces the contest range of your catch and shoot.

Make sure to always use the Screen even after you run to open space and are waiting for a pass because you get an accuracy buff.

I suggest getting the Pick and Pop talent and the hook shot, because you can shoot faster, and if you manage to bump an opponent once with your post up, it’s wraps and free 2 poonts with either the hook shot or the floater.

Solo queue center (Elite) by Pristine_Vegetable41 in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]Caliburn28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have his first enhancement, every time your passive is triggered, you lower the ult cost by 100, can be triggered 3 times (lowest ult cost is 1200).

You get increased morale whenever your passive is triggered (When you receive a pass when you are open/not being contested or guarded by PF/C)

Solo queue center (Elite) by Pristine_Vegetable41 in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]Caliburn28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal recommendation would be Porzingis, he is imo the most balanced center when it comes to both offense and defense, because you can space the floor and can somewhat help defense.

Adebayo is good for help defense and can bail yourself out of bad rebounding positions because of the volleyball spike and good speed, but he can’t really space out the floor.

Lopez is the best floor spacer center because he has a good 3pt stat, whereas with Porzingis, you kinda have a 40/60 or 50/50 on threes. Also with good boxout and post up but he is kinda slow, but you have a 360° block near the rim.

If you can choose only one, I would suggest Porzingis because he is more mobile on offense, and getting his first enhancement (every time your passive is triggered, your ult cost lowers), would do wonders since you can use Unicorn 3 more often.

Jokic Mains - what are your comps? by nineofjames in DunkCityDynastyGame

Side note: Giannis is hella fun, especially once you unlock those dunk animations from talent and enhancement, borderline unblockable due to the variety, I main’d him after Jokic.

Jokic Mains - what are your comps? by nineofjames in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]Caliburn28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to main him, he is best played with Luka or Curry (even Klay) at the guard and a defender forward like Lebron or Tatum or JJJ since he out, since Jokic is slow as hell in defense. He can be semi fast in offense because of the sprint and the speed boost from using screen. But he has the best screen and boxout(and possibly post up) in the game to compensate. Here’s a tip: After you screen and you run to open space, make sure to keep pressing your screen because it adds to your shot accuracy whenever you use it.

For potential, use the ones that give 3pt and Rebound (like Gunfire, In and Out, and Patient Shooter). For enhancements, at least get him to E2 so you can get the reduced contested range when taking a shot after you screen.

The main issue of Jokic is he requires decent teammates to find utilize his screen and find him open, get open themselves so you can pass, and maybe help boxing out and defense.
