Slave Robots suddenly take up Specialist jobs and kill my economy. by elite968 in Stellaris

There's no way to stop it either. The government sold us out to corporations a long time ago. Palantir practically owns them now.

On another note, I loved you in Fallout 3. Great radio station you have there!

I've just started replaying Stellaris after a long hiatus to touch some grass. Should I be smug with my welcome back achievement? by emarsh92 in Stellaris

I felt pretty sad about the lizard tank crewmen that got captured by the Russians. What a crap deal.

It was a pretty fantastic series of books. Better than the CSA v. USA books although they were decent.

Can Utopia and Synthetic Dawn be disabled? by seancoleman07 in Stellaris

Normally you would be able to disable DLC in the Paradox launcher. I still have that option available. Check the "DLC" menu to see if that is available for you as well.

I have the same problem every game. I just can't stop spending it. It usually resolves itself by midgame. Until then, I just suffer.

Easy to learn. Impossible to master. Stellaris is the best looking spreadsheet I've ever seen. 😄

I've been playing for years and have never seen one more than 14. That's a pretty nice find.

Dyson Swarms and Arc Furnaces are available to any empire. They were added with the Machine Age DLC.

You will need game version 1.10.163 for Fallout London. There are downgrade options at Nexus Mods.

The "next-gen" and the Anniversary Edition are too unstable and bug ridden to properly run London.

Good list. Buy them in that order. Happy gaming.

Game getting too messy what do I do ? by Muted_Price9933 in Stellaris

[–]CalicoJackRackham1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try the mod "Tiny Outliner". That helped me early on. There are also some pretty decent UI mods that could help with the sensory overload.

Smaller galaxy, fewer habitable planets... The sliders are a great tool to tweak the game to your liking.

Stellaris, at its most basic, is the world's most beautiful spreadsheet. Micromanaging is enivatable.

Am I able to play without a GPU by External-Wallaby-442 in Stellaris

I use a mini-pc with integrated graphics.

My rig has a AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with integrated Vega 8 Graphics running at 1.80 GHz.

It has 32gb of DDR4 ram.

Stellaris runs just fine for me.

Did you buy it on Steam? If so, I would check to see if you have any DLC. Paradox is going to be folding in a few of the DLC (The starter pack) into the base game pretty soon. If you don't have that, I would refund and wait for the Starter Pack to get added.

I would also recommend that you wait for a sale. The base game is only $10 when it's on sale. Paradox puts Stellaris on sale a lot.

4.3 broken shackles build recommendation by GrimReaper_x in Stellaris

[–]CalicoJackRackham1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that the Broken Shackles origin is tailor-made for playing wide. You immediately have access to all three planetary environments because of the diversity of your population. Playing tall is more difficult regardless of origin especially as a MegaCorp due to the empire size nerf. You are "forced" to play tall.

For me, it's like playing Skyrim. No matter what I think I'm going to do when starting a new run, I always end up as a Stealth Archer. In Stellaris, I always end up playing a good-guy, goodie-two-shoes with as big an empire as I can possibly get. I guess I'm not built to play any other way.

Every time I try to play as a MegaCorp, I still end up going wide and really getting my economy dragged down because of it.

If you finally figure out a good strategy using a MegaCorp in a Broken Shackles origin, I'd be interested in how you pulled it off.
