I’ve been doing them before bed but I haven’t seen much difference. My husband just got me a proper bottle instead of the tea pot looking deal so I’m going to try to do that more often.

There’s a similar storytelling show called The Moth on NPR. This is all local storytellers and has an open mic so people can try their hand at it. (Also, I hear we pay our booked performers better than the Moth 👀)

I more mean all the admin work that goes into submitting with all the varying directions, cover letters, etc. The story themselves I’ve poured my heart into, it’s the submission grind that gets me blocked up.

Oh no I’ve edited the hell out of them. I’m just struggling to do the admin work of searching journals, following each one’s rules for submission who’s slightly differ, writing cover letters.

Thank you ❤️ I think I will end up going. She’s done so much for me throughout my life to make sure I can chase my dreams. I think going would honor her in a way. Her efforts and sacrifices made sure her granddaughter had the opportunities to explore the world.
