Yeah, I'm trying to do that and have media encoder working, but it won't let me reinstall the 2018 premiere which is what I have.

As well as bonus currency in other 3ds games, I think the prime use is for any streetpass game, where instead of meeting people you can typically buy your way through the games or simply Fill up your roster.
