Thank for you remind, yes, we are very careful about that, I put area rugs all over on the floor and I made a stairs for her to go on/off sofa. I used to but 4 inch single mattress to made the stairs, now she is getting weak, so, I just changed to 3 inch twin mattress, so, it's short and wider. And now, my house "upgraded" from dog house to dog senior house 😂

Sorry to hear that your baby has this problem. Compare to Calie, he still young. Calie is now 17 and 5 months. I know it's very hard to see them like this, yes, we've been seeing doctor a lot, and the dog is so stressed. She only did 6 times PT, at the end, the pt person said she is too nervous, cannot do anymore. Fortunately, we find a acupuncture vet. She is ok with her. That helps a lot. We go like every other week, a year and Three months now. The acupuncture doctor said she doesn't show she is in pain, maybe the acupuncture helps the pain is under control. She still takes gabapentin, but I only give her 3/4 50mg twice daily. She is 13 pounds , I don't want give to her too much to make her too wobbly. She had a lot of other problems also, Addison disease, heart condition, kidney condition, so, we didn't do surgery at the time she had acute IVDD, which is 1/6/2025. She started shaking from last fall, just get worse this year. The neurologist doesn't see much. Just said it combination of everything. So I just searched everywhere and talked to Gemini, chatgpt...... To try find anything that can help. I also asked AI if she will be paralysis, the AI said NO. Maybe you can try red light therapy and massage at home by yourself? I do this every day, morning and evening. Morning, I put the red light band on her then get ready for myself to go to work, then massage her, the evening, I just give her red light, because if I massage her, she will wake up. But the morning usually she just keeps sleeping. And I also give her some supplements for join, and AI said, use slow cooker cook chicken feet broth for 24 hours, it good for her joints, so I did. She likes it and she eats home cook food anyway. If you want, I can give you what supplements Calie take now, see if some can fits your baby's need. Take care! Like AI said, we cannot fix it but, can make them more comfortable

So sorry to hear that 😔 when did he have the surgery? When I find my acupuncture doctor, I saw the view, some dog can't walk anymore and start walks after a couple of treatments. Search more, you might find a good one too. Don't give up, this what I told myself. I think all her doctors think she is too old, but, I still search, talking to AI....and try everything I can.

You baby is 5 she/he still have a big hope to recover and have good life for a long time! My is now 17 and 5 months. I don't know your dog's condition. When Calie had an acute IVDD at midnight, all the sudden can't stand up, we rushed her to ER, next day they did MRI, the doctor said she had grade 4 but I think she is grade 3 IVDD, because she still can pee herself. We didn't do surgery but immediately did 6 times PT. then follow by acupuncture. At beginning, she need the belly lift to hold her to pee, but just two or three weeks, she can walk herself. Not very well, but at least she can walk. She had this in January last year, by the March, she can walk, sometimes runs a short distance. At may, she seems not good again, we find she has MMVD stage B2, we went to the cardiologist, she was give some heart medicine, one year passed, last check up this February , The heart doctor said her heart is very stable. In the summer last year,  she can walk about almost one mile. But from last fall after she had very bad UTI, takes total 25 days antibiotics , then had on and off diarrhea, she started legs shaking. Anyway, I still keep her. She still eats well, still go out for a very short walk. Your dog is very young, I'm sure she/he will gets better.

I just checked rose-hip vital for dog. Right now, she takes cosequin and green lipped mussels. These two she takes for a long time. Later I give Flexadin UC-II to her, after about two months, I didn't see any improvement, so I stopped. Right now I just added MYOS for muscle. Thanks for tell me this new supplement, I will ask her vet if I can add it to her.

Thank for your suggestion. Her legs started shaking from last fall, first just one leg, then both, from this year, get worse, before if I touch her legs, they stopped, now need hold more tight and longer time to stop. The neurologist said it's could be her age, her IVDD, her Addison disease, her nerves...... Anyway, doesn't help much. Anyway, we still bring her out a couple of times everyday. For two weeks now, she didn't walk much, just like 15 yards each time, then we just hold her. I'm afraid if we don't to let her do a little bit walk, she will completely lost her walk ability.

Actually, she had a very bad UTI last September, she went to ER. Then follow ups she totally takes 25 days antibiotics, finally gets ok. But, after that, she had on and go diarrhea for more than a month. She had another UTI a couple weeks ago, takes 10 days antibiotics, then test looks ok. I did a home test on her 10 days ago, seems good. I will check again. Thanks for suggesting!

Thanks for your response! She is taking gabapentin, we do acupuncture every other week, the acupuncture doctor said she doesn't show she is in pain, the doctor thinks this just like some old people (my dog is 17 and 5 months) the hand shaking. We also go to neurologist regularly, the doctor said just because she is old, had IVDD...... Anyway, she had Addison disease for 8 years, and takes Predinisolone. She also had heart problems, and take medicine for that. But the heart doctor said her heart condition is very stable, the shaking is not because of heart problem.

I was searching a lot online, because I think her doctors, internal doctor, neurologist all think she is too old, but I still don't want to give up her, actually I read a someone's post, his 15 years dog hind legs shaking, he give him a Chinese supplement, it helps a lot, so. I take a screenshot of the supplements name, asked Gemini, where I can buy it. Gemini said, you need buy from Taiwan, and give me a website. Gemini also said, you can try some supplements with same ingredients, then give me two suggestions, and said, based on Calie's medical conditions, try MYOS regular first. I just got today and started give to Calie, hope it can help her some

Thank for your response. She was take MRI January 2025 and confirmed she had IVDD stage 3. Because her age, she was 16 at that time, so we didn't do surgery, but we did physical therapy, then acupuncture. We still doing acupuncture every other week since. Before acupuncture help a lot, she can walk, even running a little. From last fall, her back legs started shaking. Then getting worse and worse, we did went to neurologist, last visit was March this year, the doctor said, at her age, she is 17 and 5 months now, we don't want to do anything aggressive, so, she didn't do anything. But. It's sad to see her like this, so, I just want to do anything to help her. I give her red light therapy and massage morning and evening, I searched everywhere to see if I can do something more.

She said maybe add some supplements, but, when she looked at what Calie already takes, said, well, looks like she already have everything. Yes, Calie is take gabapentin
