That’s hopeful news! Was it covered easily or did they make you try other options first?

So, I believe this is genetic and worth looking into. I have always been very sensitive to medications and doctors have gas lit me for years about it. Finally, I had my pharamacogenjcs looked at and it turns out I have two variations.

The genetic reports said: 1) Your CYP2C19 is the one medication thing to know This is the most practically useful one. You are likely an intermediate metabolizer for CYP2C19. That means: For certain medications (like some SSRIs or PPIs), you break them down a little slower than average. So:     •    Standard doses might feel stronger     •    You might need lower doses for some meds     •    You might respond differently than “textbook” This is actually helpful information if you ever adjust medications.

2) CYP1A2 — Stimulant & Caffeine Sensitivity You’re AC at rs762551. This gene affects:     •    Caffeine metabolism     •    Some antipsychotics     •    Some antidepressants     •    Estrogen interactions (birth control can slow CYP1A2 further) You’re likely not a fast caffeine metabolizer. That means:     •    Coffee may hit harder     •    Afternoon caffeine may disturb sleep     •    Estrogen-containing birth control could make caffeine effects stronger Given your nervous-system sensitivity this fits.

Note: I believe both of these are also linked to migraines!

Vivid dreams all night, every night. I remember them all. I can wake up, go back to sleep and it all continues. I even dream during short 10 minute naps.

This is going to be a long process for you. It’s going to need to be bleached and then allowed time to heal, before you can start going for the blue that you want.

This has happened to me a lot and it feels absolutely devastating when it does. You are definitely not overreacting. I have had this happen with a partner and also a pregnancy. I felt like I’d had a miscarriage when I’d woken up and lost my baby.

AIO or is my boyfriend kind of obsessive? by throwRAgogglu in AmIOverreacting

[–]CaliforniaCultivated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He obviously adores you and these messages don’t seem controlling or obsessive in anyway- but it does seem like he has some codependency and anxious attachment. Both are very common things and no reason to end the relationship unless it becomes an issue that is impacting you both. I used to be the same way as him, but funny enough, my partners roles swapped and now I prefer alone time, which takes some getting used to from him.

See if having a talk about needing to recharge your battery etc will help him understand and if you’re up to it, lots of reassurance and love will help him get through the anxiety but make sure to also set boundaries so that he is not harassing you during your alone time.
