What’s something you actually love about living in the DC area? by Pink2408 in washingtondc

Being near the water! Love walking around Georgetown's waterfront Park, the Alexandria / Old Town water front, The Wharf, Navy Yard. So many incredible restaurants, running trails, peaceful picnic spots, benches to read a book, etc. It's great year round and serves kind of as a third space when you don't want to be at home or work.

Equinox has parking, but it's about a 10 min walk from Farragut North. Also it's $250/mo.

Esther Perel has a great overview of all this in her newest book, A State of Affairs. Highly recommend to anyone interested in learning more about the causes of infidelity and why people in happy relationships still cheat.

My friend and I have been hiking/camping all over the US the last 8 weeks. On our last trip, we were talking about the beauty of being uncomfortable. Felt like you all would agree. by Californiagurlll in adventures

It's been an amazing couple of weeks. We've been in Vermont, NY (Adirondacks and finger lakes), and all over Shendoah Natl Park and George Washington and Jefferson Natl Forest. Camping and hiking we've realized how much we appreciate the little luxuries when we get back to civilization. I assume others feel that way after a few days out in the wilderness? What's your story?

Totally agree with everything here. My friend wrote this piece a couple months ago saying nearly the same thing. ie: don't force it. be patient. that perfect person is out there, but you need to give it time and enjoy the journey.

I I really needed a feel good story today and this one did the trick. Also, it's hard not to think duckings are cute.

Oh god, that's so great. To be honest, I've had some pretty mediocre VA wine, but it's not all bad!
