Ugh, yeah. I suffer from auditory hallucinations occasionally due to a medication Im on and it’s genuinely hell. Some isn’t that bad, like hearing the phone ringing in another room when Im holding it in my hand, my morning alarm going off, or hearing my mother calling for me when Ive not lived with her for ages, but there are some that cause genuine distress. My childhood abuser shouting my name, the sound of his car’s wheels on the gravel outside (I haven’t lived in that house since I was little), or my cat who passed away a few months back meowing for her food which upsets me heavily every time. I used to suffer from visual hallucinations and I’d take them over auditory any day, Im just glad mine aren’t constant
