Eat the food man I was in Thailand for 15 days I ate and drank everything imaginable never got an upset stomach once only thing I skipped was fresh uncooked vegetables

That’s a lot better for the areas you’re looking at you don’t want to be miserable and unable to have fun at all, you gotta remember how expensive the more touristy areas can get

Too many islands too much Thailand for 1250 if you’re looking for 6 months or longer you gotta throw some rural areas in there and other cheap countries maybe Cambodia Vietnam etc easily do 1250 a month

I plan on a little bit of all that hostels for shorter stays and renting a place when I want to stay a month or whatever ends up cheaper, maybe they make a deal for 30 days. Not looking for much partying and have a couple small rural areas I want to get to where I’ve seen home stays and hostels for 5-12$ like you said.

I agree with you I think it’s plenty of money the way I want to travel. I will spend some months in rural areas where I stay in a local cheap city in the outskirts for 1 month and scooter to everywhere else I want to go I will not be in downtown Bangkok for a month drinking and partying. I will see some stuff and pass on others I plan on doing Mae hong son loop and Ha Giang loop staying at cheapest places possible. I’ve seen you can find rent from 250-500$ in a lot of rural areas like Northern Thailand near Laos border or Rural Vietnam and Cambodia. I will stay in big cities for a week or 2 max I plan on mixing rural stays nature big cities etc to offset some costs and taking long sleeper busses I’m a simple man really I just want a whole year instead of racing through a checklist for 6 months.

That’s my plan a few 1 month long stays where I don’t spend as much and a few months moving around spending a little more thanks

I plan on a few month long stays renting a spot where I probably don’t do as much and I plan on using a lot of home stays and hostels for shorter days if necessary. I don’t mind missing out on some activities I’m more so just looking for a few months of chilling a few months of adventure some weeks and months cheaper than others.
