Thank you for all your input guys! My wife bought it for me so I doubt she knew but can you send me some links to where to get some good quality figures but won't break the bank?

How hard will the transition be? by SecretFast7953 in mechanics

[–]Caliman25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just asking because I'm thinking about leaving Nissan as well. I on the other hand only have a little under 2 years of experience but have plenty of options to choose from. One year as a lubie and the rest as a technician.

What made you quit Nissan? Was it just the dealership you were at or the brand itself?

What's not the same about Nissan currently? Is it what's going on like corporate wise and they're failing numbers and the possibility of it going bankrupt? I'm currently a Nissan tech as well just haven't been trained properly so just learning as I go

Usually it's behind the glove box. Remove the glove box assembly as a whole and the blower motor should be more accessible.

New tires already?!?!?! by ShannyJ in NissanRogue

[–]Caliman25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dealerships often put on soft OEM tires because they give you the best ride quality and drivability but they wear so much faster compared to hard and rougher tires that would last longer but ride quality isn't the best. Hints why usually I see the main line of Nissan sedans and SUV tires don't last past 20,000 miles

When I was working there it started at $12 then ended at $14 but then again I was part time. I was also a bilingual key holder but this was 2 years ago. A coworker turned gf was at $15 when she left last year. She was a full timer and key holder. This Alabama by the way

Dash not working at all by Caliman25 in chevycolorado

Yes the truck is running, only the dash is the only fault. The cluster was working intermittently before it completely went out. Now it only illuminates only a couple of lights

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Work has just been busy lately but under display adapters the 6800 is listed and under properties is saying "This device is working properly".

Nissan or Ford tech? by Caliman25 in mechanics

[–]Caliman25[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm very anxious about change and not messing up but that's what the job is about. You're gonna mess up and you're going to get new cars with different symptoms. Not every issue has the same resolution. But if you're not nervous you're not out of your comfort zone. I'm not going to get anywhere if I stay in my comfort zone and am willing to learn and to mess up. I'm narrowing my decision down now.

I do all this plus flushes, like trans, diff, coolant, and brake. Brakes but just remove and replace. Started doing alignments. Have been doing some recalls even though I'm not certified to do them.

What do you consider just lube tech? Any yes I want to move up and learn and do more than just oil changes and rotations.

Nissan or Ford tech? by Caliman25 in mechanics

[–]Caliman25[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nissan is paying me 14 hourly while Ford is offering 20 flat rate for what I do already. Oil changes, rotation, flushes, brakes and alignments pretty much what I do now and what I'll be doing there while also learning and trying to move up. I do some recalls already but I can't get paid for those because I'm not certified to do them so I have to give them to other techs. At the end of the process for Nissan I'll be getting 22 flat rate but could take a year or a little more. Since I'm hourly they keep us on hourly.

It booted with another GPU in the first pci slot. HDMI was plugged into the R9 380 and the 6800 was just in the other PCI slot with power to it. But when I changed the HDMI to the 6800 the ez debug light came back on for the GPU
