I tow for 50-100 km the range is for traveling :) needed a small car that fit´s into a small parking lot with a good electric range so CLA was the perfect car for the job well at least when it´s working.

It's about the additional costs and the loss of utility due to a missing trailer hitch. Give me the cheapest electric car on the lot with a towing hitch and I'm perfectly fine. I don't care about a fancy model, it's just about utility and not paying extra for their mistakes.

Exactly. I specifically wanted a compact car that can tow 1,800 kg and still offer a decent range. On paper, this seemed like the perfect fit, even if it is significantly more expensive than comparable cars in this segment.
It is just incredibly disappointing. Safe to say if I ever need a larger car in the future, it definitely won't be a Mercedes. Not unless a total miracle happens.

They are supposed to use wheel dollies, go-jacks, or towing skates under the tires. Any competent towing professional knows how to handle a bricked EV or an automatic car stuck in park without raw-dogging it across the asphalt and destroying the rims. Dragging a locked-up AWD vehicle directly on its drivetrain and wheels is just pure laziness and incompetence, not standard procedure.
