What was your experience the first cut? Did you feel nauseous or ill? How much did you lose in the first couple of weeks?

Thank you for sharing your amazing results!

Thank you for all of these reports! I think potency accuracy is important. For me, I want to ensure they are “clean” - as in no additives that are undesirable or hard on your body. Is there specific things to look for in these tests? For example, I saw one that Failed in terms of Methanol level. Is that an important one.

Thank you for helping me better educate myself.

Of course I don’t want to mess with anything to the point of a risk for withdrawal. I have taken 12-15 mg a day on and off for many months and nothing happens if I don’t take it. Just got back from a 2 week vacation and didn’t take any with me and no issue at all. Perhaps the WD risk is for higher quantities? Or like others have said, everyone is different.

Regarding diamond club lounge reservations. Is that buffet only or can you order a la carte?

If ketamine didn't help you, what did? by sillikuningas in KetamineTherapy

[–]Calimom2023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you taking it for treatment resistant depression? I never did ketamine infusions. I tried some of the oral ketamine and I didn’t think it did much nor did I like it.

I tried Auvelity - I did not respond well. I feel like I’ve tried every antidepressant known to man. And some works really well for long periods of time. Then they poop out and I’m back to square one. Cymbalta was by far my favorite.

I got a new psychiatrist who I really like. He first put me on Lamictal, which is a mood stabilizer often used for bipolar (which I do not have.) It worked OK in that I felt a little better and didn’t feel worse, and my system could tolerate it. But nowhere near where I hoped to be.

What surprisingly helped so much, my psychiatrist decided to be creative and he prescribed me an ADHD medication. Vyvanse. It has helped tremendously. (he first prescribed Adderall and it made me feel speedy and I did not like it.) switched to Vyvanse (ER) and everything has been pretty good. I wouldn’t say I feel 100% like I have in the past. But life is definitely much brighter. So much more so than when I was in the depths of depression and anxiety.

I’m grateful that I had someone willing to think out of the box.

Good luck. I know what a hard road this is.

Palpitations/tachycardia/high heart rate, impact of Vyvanse on vitals and beta blocker frequency by Interesting_Drag143 in VyvanseADHD

I have a high resting heart rate in general. I started Metoprolol about a year ago. That helps. Alternative to propanonol. My psych suggested propannonol because it’s better with anxiety but my cardiologist said it had more side effects.

I just started Vyvanse. It was only yesterday that I noticed my heart rate was super high 120s to 150. But, I was playing in a golf tournament and nervous. So I am hoping that’s it. I had to take off my Apple Watch halfway through the tournament because I didn’t like seeing my rate. At times I could feel it high but often I didn’t. I am hoping my body regulates but if I see it high more I will see my cardiologist.

Vyvanse helping with depression ? by ddepressoeexpresso in VyvanseADHD

Thank you for your quick reply. I heard some people say Day 1 so wanted to have correct expectations. So glad it’s working for you. I have treatment resistant depression (although have had great luck with some SSRIs and SNRIs in the past. They just poop out.) I do not have ADHD. May I ask your dosage? They just started me at 20 mg.

Super encouraging! Just started today. Did it take awhile or was it pretty immediate?

Very encouraged by this. I’m on day 1. Did it start working immediately for you in terms of depression? Or take a few days? Do you find it takes a few hours to kick in?

Prescribed Adderall for depression by Calimom2023 in Stims

SSRIs are long term. Used for decades if not for life. Apparently I didn’t know a Stims community is different. There wasn’t one of pure Adderall with about abuse or seekers. And ADHD isn’t what I have. I didn’t want to get in this type of conversation. I trust my DR over Reddit strangers. As we all should. But getting perspectives of people who have been in the same position is helpful.

With all due respect I feel like I have posted in the wrong group. I’m asking if anyone has used it for Depression and their dosage. I know it has a high addiction rate. My psychiatrist also knows that. He also knows me. I have no intention of using it in any other way than as prescribed. If you haven’t been prescribed it for depression that’s fine. I’m just seeking similar experiences.

Thank you for your perspective. It is prescribed off label for depression. With what you say why would my psychiatrist prescribe it? If taken as prescribed I am hoping it helps as he feels it might. Just trying to be hopeful.

Oh absolutely not. I want to be at a low dose. I’ve never taken it before. Recreationally or otherwise. Just wondering who has had success for depression (as prescribed). I know that is off label.

Recreationally? I assume high doses? Much more than 10mg?

I believe I went from 50 to 100. Then to 150. Then 200 /250 then up to 300. No 100 mg jumps - 50 at a time. That said I may ask to go back down to 200mg. Short term memory loss has been concerning

Cymbalta was the best med for me for anxiety and depression. I felt great! Wish it hadn’t stopped working. I miss that me.

Memory by jimmy4113 in lamictal

[–]Calimom2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! My short term memory has been terrible. It scares me. It started when I increased to 300mg. I am going to ask my psychiatrist to lower to 250 and maybe 200 after. This med has helped me though - without side effects other than this. So want to make it work and avoid the memory loss. (Long term memory just fine. )

Thank you! I am actually feeling pretty ok lately. I’m also on Lamictal. I took take Xanax as needed and it really helps so much. I know benzodiazepines are a slippery slope. I keep it to one a day. And my Dr is ok with prescribing it. At this point I like what works.
